Does Paula telling David Cook he's the American Idol count as pimping? I don't think anyone else this season has been called that.

"One to beat", to me, means the person who will be beaten, more than someone who is going to win.

Archtard is never called out for fucking up the words.
Judges never mention his FLAT singing.
Or the fact that his shit ALWAYS sounds the same.

They don't say anything about the flat singing or always sounding the same with either David, because they want them in the finale.

True. I'm just never sure why people think it only happens with one David. David Cook gets the pimp spot at top 10 and top 6, and there isn't much said. Archtard gets it at top 12 and then at top 4, and this is supposed to show he's pimped.

They want their all-David finale, and then (I'm assuming) they want David Cook to win. So the overboard Archtard pimping helps them, because that generates as much hate as it does approval, if not more. The people who would like to see the judges tell Archuleta he's awful may not realize that would probably end with him winning, because people will feel sorry for him and vote.

That's kinda what I said earlier...let's get all the pressure and media (like TMZ) saying the same thing---that he's way overrated. That equals backlash, allowing Cook to take the title (hopefully he'll get to the final 2 for this theory to work!). Also, I agree about Archtard's pimp spot. It was due for him last night.

I guess I'm just a paranoid person, since I've almost never thought their praise for Archuleta was genuine, but I don't think the praise is for him to win, it's to help make sure he loses. He just has to lose at the right time. I think he's had some good nights, but I don't think the judges care about helping, or about honest commentary. They had their plans for Melinda last season, the frontrunner who lost to the talented teen, and their plans almost failed, so this time they flipped the script. This time the person they put in the Jordin spot was a polished, talented performer, while the person in the Melinda spot was an awkward teenager unsure of his abilities.

I think all this scheming and plotting has driven the ratings down because I think people watch the show to be entertained, not for some master plan, but the plan probably has worked. As much as some people think Archtard is the worst ever and say they would like to see the judges tell him how much they hate him, the judges are the ones who put him in this position, it's their responsibility. As phony as they are, I'd rather see them continue with the lies they started then suddenly tell him he's awful. It's not really that much fun seeing the judges destroy people, which seems to be just about all they know how to do now (Carly, Jason, et al).
