My favs were No Turning Back, Align, and All You Will Need, however, the lyrics in all were rather dull.

I've been listening to them off and on today and I'm liking Something Like Heaven more and more. Almost so that I would hate for Porkchop to sing it
and ruin it for me.

I've listened to them all now.
In This Moment - 1 Faith - 2 Align - 10. I found the upbeat song I was looking for! All You Will Need - 8. Also upbeat! Believe - 1 Stronger - 6. Dull lyrics, but I could see someone like Daughtry pulling it off. The Time of My Life - 1 for rainbows. You Believed In Me - pesmitty, tell me you did this with tongue planted firmly in cheek. It sounds like a bad caricature of previous winners' singles. 1 We're Gonna Make It - 5. It doesn't have the usual winner's single lyrics, but it doesn't sound that great. Thank You Whatever Comes - 3 When You Come From Nothing - 2 Only Love - It sounds like a boy band reject song. 1 You Can Do Anything - Whoever this songwriter is, they can do anything but write songs. 2 You Believed in Me - 4 |

I can't see any of the crappy ballady ones being favourites of the fans/voters so if one of those pieces of crap wins it will be just another blatant
manipulative move in Archie's favour.
His fans are so pathetic, deliberately backing a song his biggest competition might not do so well with. ETA: Oh for fuck's sake. I once again wasted a milestone post on some crap. 13 000 crappy winner's singles and thoughts of David A hate!

I'm not really impressed with any of those songs. WTF is with all the piano songs? Are they Brooke fans or something? Overcome is ok. Align is different
sounding than the others and I gave that song the highest score (a 6).

there is this one site I go on a lot, and the guy that wrote "In This Moment" is a huge supporter of it, so I guess that has to be my favorite one.
All of the songs suck though, since all of them give out the same fucking message. I gave a 1 to all the songs Archtard could actually get away with sining.

"I have nothing to do with it - I'd like to bring in the best songwriters in the world," said Cowell, who joked, "You can guarantee either the word 'proud' or 'moment' will be in the song. How about 'I'm Proud to Be in this Moment Now'?" When asked if the final two will get to change up the arrangement to better suit their vocal styles, Cowell hinted at a glimmer of hope: "I won't give it away, but there's a slight change to last year which is going to be an improvement."Slight change?? ...like being able to completely rearrange the melody and rewrite the words?! I'm up for that! I hope there is a significant change, because objectively speaking the finale last year was totally unfair to Blake. |

Even if they can rearrange the song (which would be good and it might have helped out Blake last year), there's still the problem of lyrics--all the songs
in the competition have sappy lyrics; they're faux inspirational; and tend to be about depressed people who find self esteem. In other words, the lyrics
are perfectly suited to a contestant like David Archuleta who's been doing faux inspirational almost every week. Jason is too stoned, laid back and
comfortable in his own skin to convincingly pull off a coronation song; Syesha might be able to act her way through; David Cook is a grown, confident man,
totally unsuited to singing a "poor me" type song, but perhaps he can rekindle the magic of his Hello performance. Still, Syesha, Jason and David
Cook would all be at a disadvantage if they're up against Archuleta in the finale.

Since everyone thinks the winner's singles are sappy pieces of shit I'd say anyone vs Archuleta would be at an advantage if they did anything even
remotely different to it. Archuleta would sing it straight and be boring and the song would still be a cheesy piece of shit.

But the fact that the producers are even thinking about making any changes show that they're possibly working around the idea of Cook winning rather than giving it away to Rainman. |

LOL, I'll go listen to your song and give it a good rating just because you showed a lot of spunk posting on here. I bet its a good song anyway.
Listened to it! I liked your song. I'll give it a great rating. Well I was too late to vote of course. I made a cd of the songs, and some of them are incredible, and hearing the songwriters, I assume, doing them is neat. Who is the woman who does "You Can Do Anything?" I got goosebumps from her voice, she's fantastic. The other song that was incredible was "Fly Me Away." And other ones so far I liked a lot were "In This Moment," "Dream Big," and "Believe." I have to listen to the rest later.
