Nah, it'd be nice to see him on Idol every once in a blue moon, though. I'll take Elliott though. He's a good consolation prize for me.

They didn't mention Elliott's mother.
I don't think they'll ever have Jennifer perform (that would mean admitting they were wrong), but who knows what could happen if she actually releases a CD. |

They've mentioned her. Simon went on tape for the episode of Oprah that featured the cast of "Dreamgirls". They definitely haven't pretended
that she didn't exist or that she hasn't done well for herself.

There's a big difference between mentioning and performing. They have to mention her, but they don't seem fond of her (Simon even claimed her last
performance on Idol was terrible). Inviting her to the finale only to have her sit in the audience while so many other people were onstage felt like their way
of saying, "These are the real Idols, not her."

They want to put as much emphasis on the finalists who actually get really far, I think they've come to realize that winning barely matters anymore and
they're going into overdrive trying to hide that fact. Could be why they don't want a contestant who got 7th (and was a huge success) performing on
their show. Pickler only lasted one week longer than her and arguably isn't as successful as her, so I don't know why they single Boomie out in
particular.
