ETA: When Fergie came out and started singing with Ann and Nancy, I wanted to kill someone. But, I guess that's the only way they could make Barracuda relevant for the 12-year-olds that watch the show.

My kids know the song Barracuda from Guitar Hero. And they like Fergie. But we all were offended that Fergie had to be out there doing gymnastics and taking
attention away from Heart, who deserved to perform by themselves.

Upon rethinking Fergie's performance with Heart I don't actually think she was trying to upstage them. I think they genuinely are her Idols and she was
loving performing with them. She definitely should have toned down her jumping around and shit but I don't think she was trying to be all "I'm
better than Heart."

I suppose this has been said before but:
- they should make Carly sit in a room and watch Ann Wilson videos for 24 hours until she gets it. - they should make Brooke sit in a room and watch Annie Lennox videos for 24 hours until she gets it. It works for Archuleta - studying videos - he's able to copy them note for note including the inflections and "emotion"...I'm sure Carly and Brooke would be able to as well. They apparently didn't have strict parents who made them study music videos! |
