I was really embarrassed for her - that was awful! I'm not a fan of hers either, but I just know she is going to catch hell for how bad that was, and I
feel bad for her. The little sketch that proceeded it was also awful. Yikes!

Sorry, I disagree with most of you. This was fun--these stars were performing out of their comfort zones and I really enjoyed it. I would have like to have
seen more celebs do something unexpected than listen to Robin Williams or Billy Crystal. I think it took guts for Terri to get out there and sing. More
entertaining than Mariah, anyway. Plus I want Terri's outfit.

WTF? She's not a professional singer and never claimed to be. It was supposed to by cute and funny not all serious! No one expected her to sing it like
Carrie did. I thought she did pretty good considering.
I thought it was kind of funny with the whole "steal my man" schtick before it and then Terri singing about a bleach blond tramp 
I guess some people just need to find someone or something to rag on or their day isn't complete

I'm sure it was more entertaining than watching Miley Cyrus sing twice.
Her singing sucked but I agree that chances are she doesn't think she's a good singer and it was just supposed to be funny and for charity. |

They did it all wrong, they should have had people call in and pledge not not have her sing. As I posted before, I would pay $2 if they would have Simon or
Ryan sing something. So $2 if they would have Teri Hatcher shut up and not sing.

Maybe it's just me, but I got the impression she thought she was the shit during that performance. Maybe she can go the Hilary/Lindsey route and put out
albums that have her voice drowned by pro-tools though; as if most artists aren't doing that these days.
I wouldn't have thought much of it if she didn't butcher arguably one of my favorites artists' songs. |

I didn't think it was so bad. Her voice is passable, though it got "kinda pitchy" towards the end of the second verse. It was one of the few
worthwhile bits in the whole Idol Gives Back viewer endurance test/fiasco. I was working that night so I had to tape the show. What serendipity! The show
clocked in at 2 hours 35 minutes plus (incredibly, it ran overtime and my programmed tape missed the end) and by judicious, conservative use of the my fast
forward I was able to watch it AND recopy a few scraps for posterity in just 45 minutes.
And there's no need to bring up Teri's ability at sucking again, we already know how she got hired for Lois & Clark and Desperate Housewives (and Idol, of course). |
