That Vinci/Berto gay scene was MILD salsa. Really lame and pathetic to have a meltdown over that.That's because Vinci changed the scene to remove the actual "lust" element. He should have been sent to the duel just for that alone, not to mention the abysmal acting in two consecutive challenges. |

Vinci was stupid in acting the way that he did. Sure, play the "Latino men are too fucking macho to enjoy gay sex, or even feigning the enjoyment
thereof" card. It's 2008, bitch. There is more to Hispanic gay men (and/or men who don't neatly fit the machismo role that all Hispanic men are
mandated to immerse themselves in) than the likes of Walter Mercado, who ironically is part and parcel of VIVA HOLLYWOOD. Berto gets my respect for actually
giving his all to the role without being sick to his stomach. Besides, they were ACTING. Is there a Spanish word for "douchebag"?
I really hate the names of these characters, though. Vinci? (I doubt that his parents had Leonardo da Vinci in mind when they named him.) Geovannie? Gisel? Jainmy? Roseny? Alexcy? Jaslene? Oh wait, that last one is from another show. I thought that African Americans had messed-up names, but Hispanic Americans take the cake. Still, this show is pretty damn good, even for a VH1 trainwreck. |
