I have loved every routine I have seen of his. He is just brilliant and puts the American choreographers to shame.

If they brought Gilkison over to choreograph for the American or Candian versions of SYTYCD...I think the spasms of euphoric joy that would grip a few of us
here would be felt around the world.

Hey Xtra. Maybe a few here might download the Australian version now and see what a great series that was. I have the Veronicas 'untouched' as my
ringtone now. Apparently they are releasing their CD in the US this summer. If you also want to make comparisons of appearances of talent on the show, the
Veronica's were spectacular on Aus SYTYCD compared to PCD (and I am a PCD fan). Hot and sexy twins they are!

I've already obtained "Hook Me Up" through not entirely legal means, but it was sooo worth it. I was actually just in Australia and could have
bought it though, I guess. It's an amazing CD and you can probably find most of the songs on YouTube or their MySpace. Mmm twins. I wish we could have hot
twins in the Top 20.
I liked PCD's performance of "When I Grow Up" on the MTV movie awards, but it was AWFUL on this show. I guess they wanted to show off their dancing abilities and because of it their singing suffered massively. Yeah, I know, I know, their singing's not really what people like them for but it's still a part of their 'package'. Nicole was sucking wind the entire time and that cheesy "So you think you can dance?!?!?!" shoutout made me embarassed for them. Oh, and random background 'hahahaha' girl #4 can extend her leg above her head!!!1@ And I'll repeat, for all interested in the Australian version, just user search on YouTube for "sytycdaustralia" and they have pretty much every performance, solo, and elimination. |

That samba from Aus SYTYCD was indeed hot.
After a few days have passed, the performance that stuck with me this week was Katee and Joshua's. Katee wasn't the best technically in that routine, but the two of them were really great together. |

I watched the auditions here and there. Finally watched all the performances on youtube. Based on their personalities and skills, I'd have to say....
LOVE Chelsea & Thayne Chelsie & Mark Comfort & Chris Katee & Joshua Indifference Kourtni & Matt Jessica & Will (Leaning towards hate) HATE Marquis & Susie Courtney & Gev (Leaning towards indifferent) Kherrington & Twitch |

I have come to the conclusion that Chelsie Hightower and not Will is the Danny of season 4. She's apparently a dance prodigy, having accomplished more things between ages 11-18 than most ballroom dancers even dream of. Her CV is jaw dropping -- she's been teaching dance since she was 16 and was a part of team USA for the Blackpool competition. I am quite sure Mary knew her name immediately. She'll have to get through the requisite hip hop number, but after she draws a ballroom routine, I think she's going to explode. Thanks for the information. I didn't know that much about her but it gives me hope that one of my favorite couples may make the top 10. I can see Mark having trouble with ballroom but I'm thinking with her, it may be easier. And although Mark is labeled a contemporary dancer, according to the youtube page he has, he choreographs and teaches hip-hop so he could help her with that. Sometimes I wonder if they pair couples a certain way to ensure top 10 status. I thought that about Danny and Anya last year but it didn't work out like that. The only couple I can see for sure making top 10 is Twitch and Kherington, on his popularity alone, unless they make a huge mistake and the judges bother to call them out on it. |

As of now they're only one of two couples that really grabbed my attention last week, along with Chelsie and Mark. As you said, Katee could use a little more technique in the genre, yet their performance level was great. |

I am right on with you, CFoD. Those two performances just really stand out for me, even after the fact.

Twitch and Chelsea, not Chelsie are my faves. Hopefully everyone will spell their names correctly, it's confusing.

I'm sure that they do set couples up to stay. There are several dancers that wouldn't have made it as far without their partners. Musa was there
because of how wonderfully Natalie danced around him, Donyelle wouldn't have stayed as long either.
I wonder if they pick which dancers they want out first and purposly don't feature them during the auditions. Ravyn had a much better backstory than many that we saw but they didn't show her at all. I'm betting her partner (with his girlfriend story) had a backstory also. But instead we get a story about a dancer whose parents lost several cars and Suzie the hot teacher. |

I liked Mark and blonde Chelsie too. Mostly because I like weird Mark
The other Chelsea and Twitch need to dump their partners and get together. They'd be awesome. Both of them are very high energy and really fun to watch. |

Katie & Joshua, Chelsie & Mark, Twich and Kherington are my fav couples, so far. Right now, Katie and Joshua are way ahead. Loved both of them since
the auditions. Their routine was fabulous. I think Joshua;s been downplaying some of his dance training.

Chelsie & Mark (moreso because of Chelsie) and Katee & Joshua (moreso because of Joshua) are my top two couples. Katee & Joshua did very credible acting jobs in their routine (as much as any couple has in the past three seasons), and they were really able to sell the emotions and story. Chelsie & Mark had a more emotionally abstract piece, but they also did credible acting jobs. I have nothing against Twitch or Kherington, but I didn't think they connected at all as a couple. The choreography may have something to do with it, but I don't think there's much more to Kher than a big, toothy smile, and Twitch seems one note. I like Will and Chelsea, but their partners are so far in the background that they don't have any connection at all. Comfort was entertaining, but Chris is a dud. I don't think Comfort will improve enough to make the top ten. As for her solo work -- well, I just don't get krumping, and that's what she does. I even watched Rize, and I just find the whole thing uninteresting and one note. Then again, I'm a trick whore. |

Ugh, Asuka would've pwned all these craptacular dancers.
This season just feels iffy, everything's so forced, and even the audience doesn't seem all that into it. Maybe thinking it would've been on season 3 levels was having too high expectations, but so far, this is the worst group ever. Comfort/Katee FTW, and even then, they aren't oustanding in the least. |

The host of the Australian version, Natalie Bassingthwaighte (that's actually how you spell it) was an overly shouty dim bulb. Bitch, you have a mic --
you don't have to yell into it. Definitely one of the worst parts of that show.
