Watching the dances, I think Will or Twitch should go home. Will was atrocious in the samba. No hip-action (swiveling them isn't hip-action). Twitch barely danced which is the choreographer's fault but they're obviously accommodating to his multiple weaknesses. Josh messed up a little but overall, he was good and he actually had to dance. Mark killed the hip-hop and his parts alone in the foxtrot were great. Plus he was actually leading, whereas most of the men don't in their ballroom dances.
Should go home: Comfort and Twitch
Will go home: Mark(I'm holding out for a miracle, Loveski) and Comfort
Will stop watching the show live (and catch her faves on Youtube): Me
I don't think I'm doing the spoiler stuff next week unless Mark stays because I am a bitter bitch who wants next week's spoilers to say Mark and Katee are paired up.

I, too, voted for Mark last night like nobody's business. I felt that the past 2 weeks were a plot by Nigel to get rid of Mark. First week, you stick him
with Kerrington, who was riding the Twitch gravy train to top 10 and give him some kiss of death boring 2 step routine. Then Tyce, who gave Katee and the
pimped out Will the lively Rock the Boat routine, gives Mark and Kerrington a boring, no story, just dance with no meaning routine and they get dressed in grey
and no special lighting. Then he beats out Gev, who I believe they felt was cannon fodder anyway, and the next week, Mark gets the biggest partner killer of
the season, Comfort, and they give him the Foxtrot. PLEASE! It is so blatantly manipulative that if Mark survives this week, I predict him getting Crump and
quickstep.
When does Mark get his turn to close out the night? I know Mark is not the most strong technical dancer out there but because of all the manipulation, Mark's stellar showmanship skills and his endearing personality, they have made Mark this underdog of the competition. If they really wanted him out, they should have kept it fair and if America likes technique over performance, then that is the way it would have gone. Last night was the last straw for me with Nigel. His refusal to critique anyone but Mark and Comfort was just horrid. He is acting like a control freak who will lie, manipulate and do whatever it takes to get America to vote his way. I am sorry God made you ugly Nigel, but try to compensate for it by being nicer and more just. |

I actually beg to differ. I think Mark IS the best technical dancer remaining. He's certainly a stronger technician than Twitch, and I think it's also pretty clear that he has more classical training than Joshua. Will is a better technical dancer than Mark, but only in a very limited range of dances (namely contemporary and ballet). Mark's technique in EVERY form of ballroom he has done has been better than Will. Plus, his hip hop has shown more technique than Will's. I think the big difference is that Mark has the technique, but he is not selling himself based on it. His "marketing" is based around his eccentricity and his showmanship. Will doesn't have much other than technique and shirtlessness, so that's what they use to market him... |

I'm not sure about that. I started this season off with Will as my fave. Even then I saw the pimping and I quickly began to lose my love. There's
nothing more off-putting than overly and undeservedly complimenting people.
But it doesn't take depimping of one's fave to see that the judging on AI and SYTYCD is totally uneven, uninformed, and often wrong. |

I love Mark too, I was sad to see him in the bottom 2 last week. I love pretty much everyone left though except Comfort who sucks just as much as Jessicer and
Will who is good but far too overpimped. I like Twitch but the pimping is annoying and he's probably 3rd last on my list, just above Comfort and Will. My
ranking would be: Katee, Joshua, Chelsie, Courtney, Mark <3 and then Twitch like, Will, Comfort ewwww.

I really appreciate the posters who have given honest, objective critiques - and who have been able to see the good and bad in all the dancers/routines

I have to agree with you GP. On everything that you said. The only routines that have even come close to being considered outstanding were the hip-hops from
Katee/Josh and Mark/Chelsie.
Nigel won't give up his spot on the jidges table. He has to manipulate the show somehow. I would like to see them have different jidges than just the choreographers that they use. Toni Basil was a step in the right direction. Even if all she did was talk about the streets.
I think that this season has turned into the equivalent of AI3. Not near the level of talent as the other seasons. I still don't know why they didn't put Asuka and the red-haired ballroom girl (what's her name?) in the Top 20. I hope that they try out for next season. |
