Apparently Paula picked "And So It Goes" by Billy Joel for Gasptard.

I love the song "American Woman." But I always though it was about...a woman. You know, kind of love/hate/howdoIquityou? thing. Duh. Just looked
up the lyrics and I guess I was wrong. And this from our friendly neighbor Canada? Ah, Viet Nam.
Why would the producers pick this? Do they want it to be a JC Superstar debacle for Cook? |

Tyson at the scary boards, says that Archies personal choice is interesting and he can't see him singing it at all. Tyson also says there will be no
reprise songs on tues.

OMG...I hope American Woman is correct. Cook's songs are fabulous. I was worried about Simon's choice, but I found the Jeffrey Gaines version and wow.
Somebody point David to that version if he isn't aware of it!

Syesha sounds terrible in that clip. I wonder if she'll be as bad on Tuesday.

For everyone thinking TFTEISYF is a bad choice for Cook, listen to even the original--think about what DC has done with songs on the show. Simon is right--DC
needs to play on his sensuality and this song has melody and musicality and lyrics and mood and is old enough for Cook to pretty much have free reign with it.
The range suits him, too, and it hasn't been done to death in recent years. This song could put him over the top, even sung straight, because it requires a
singer who can connect with the song and audience at the same time and David can. The one killer is that this is a song that needs time to develop and they
aren't given much time to sing. Fingers crossed.

Remember when Elizabeth LaTendre sang TFTEISYF? I actually kind of liked her. It's an odd choice for Cook but I can definitely see him doing his thing with
it.

So Archtard's father gets to choose a NEW song this week and not a reprise?
I'd love for it to be 'And I Am Telling You', but it will probably be 'A Whole New World' or some such nonsense. |

Archtard should sing something from Pinnochio, does it have any big songs from it?

Wow! Now I've found someone I've never heard of before -- Jeffrey Gaines.
I love his version of TFTEISYF which I just bought on iTunes. I can't wait to hear DC's version. That's one of my favorite songs of all time. |
