Blond & Twinkle, I'm OCD as well. Just so you know where I'm coming from. I think Nat's thought loops and obsession over Matt/Bible is a
covering mechanism more related to the chameleon syndrome. She lacks focus, therefore she needs sometning to focus on, but the fact that her focus can change
on a dime is, to me anyway, the key to her not being OCD. Her obssesion with Matt/Bible is also indicative of the persona she wants people to see, not what it
really is. Being a loyal friend/girfriend and/or Christian is, to her, the perfect persona. Just differing opinions, none of us are psychologists. :)

romcen, obviously i have no idea about anything with your situation but may i recommend you google 'eckard camps'. they literally, LITERALLY saved my son's life both in the literal and long term senseWe probably should have looked into those about five years ago. He's legally an adult now, so we have to use adult options. But like I said, he's improved and is on medication and is continuing with his outpatient treatments. So far, so good. Crossing my fingers. But thanks! : ) i agree SA, it's the ability to keep track of the shit she spouts that worries me. i WOULD be apt to sign right the hell onto the borderline personality. i think that fits much better.Eh, if it's borderline, I think she's already crossed the border! |

Is there a psychological disorder Nat doesn't have?
Narcissmism certainly seems to fit. I don't know enough about Borderline, but I associate it partly with having few or no boundaries. Which certainly applies to her. blondemss & Rom - my heart goes out to you both. Your kids are lucky to have such concerned & invested parents. |

One thing that points in that direction is the fact that her personality has 100% changed. She's gone from sex-kitten to bible thumper. It's crazy how much her personality changed. I chalked it up to delusion & obsession on religion & Matty, but your description could fit too. Hell, none of us are professionals, so it's all just speculation anyways, but interesting to try and figure out, nonetheless! For anyone whose child is suffering through some sort of anxiety or mood disorder, I have a website I set up years ago to try and compile all the best help I could find. I also have an online support group. website: http://parentsofbpkids.freeservers.com/ support group: http://p196.ezboard.com/blaughterandsurvivalinbipolaritaville63885 My son is 18 now, and was diagnosed at age 10. We've been through the ringer, but he's in really good shape at present. The support group has parents of kids of all ages and they're so helpful to help brainstorm and come up with meaningful solutions. Not to mention they "get it". Sometimes having a kid with emotional disorders can really isolate you because you can't really talk about it with friends or family. Sometimes you have to talk with others who walk in your shoes. |

Something that I just realized is that I don't think I have ever seen Nat cry due to sadness, frustration or anxiety.
She cried when she won HOH but that was just tea.rs of joy and relief. After all that berating from Chelsia, jabs about the BJs from the guys or all the stuff Matt said to her, especially anout having a GF...you would think the girl would show a little emotion and break down. She just seems so void of it that it is almost un-natural IMO. In fact...I think everyone has cried EXCEPT her..other than when she won HOH. |

She cried when she did the disco ball thing. When she was in the house afterward, t.ears of frustration for not puking on herself and staying up there

She just seems so void of it that it is almost un-natural that would make me think she's been insulted her whole life, prolly starting as a child in school. so she's numb to it and she talks to herself, just as she was when Chel was going off and makes herself believe in the fantasy world not what's being said to her. It may be why she dresses as she does, etc. her body is prolly one thing she's never been criticized for. |

Sheila commented a while ago that she has ADHD and so does her son. A former boyfriend of mine had that and it was a contributing factor in the decline of our
relationship.
That and he was a dick. |

No. Now Shebot meets all the criteria for BPD. Plus several things which technically aren't criteria for BPD, but certainly should be added to the list after the medical experts watch her tapes. James, Josh, Chelsia and Pecker also showcased many BPD symptoms. Although any of them could just as easily fall into the catch-all category those not in the medical field refer to as "Bat Shit Insane." |
