So i'm rewatching season 1, for the first time since it originally aired 8 years ago. And I have to say....it's really not that bad. It gets criticized
way too much and I think people upon second assesment would realize it's a lot better than some of the seasons with the format we are used to.
If anyhing, it was way more dramatic. Especially with Chicken George and the whole state of Illinois taking control and then eventully losing out to the rest of the U.S. And George making is insane rants in the diary room and dressing up in odd costumes. In reality his wife was the villain never him, but he took the brunt of it from the banners.
Curtis was always my favorite, he was just so normal and seemed like a really good person. And something I didn't remember was that fact that Curtis was the favorite to win for a while. I always thought Eddie was the favorite to win from post to post but in reality, it went back and fourth between a few of them (Eddie, Curtis, George, Brittany)
To me, the format is way more exciting than what we currently have. And although I still have the UK and AU versions to fill that need, i'd personally like to see what actual Big Brother is supposed to be return to the United States one day.
