I am not a Syesha fan but her stylist need to be shot. Looks like they remade her dress from Lily Munster's cape lining. And then Angela from PR had a go
at the detailing.

No, Mooriah. Didn't your stylist tell you not to stand next to the bean pole?

we have had a lot of Jesus music this season, between Dolly's Jesus and Gravity, MC's idol gives back performance and Shout to the Lord 2 nights in a row. |

I think they'd lose votes anyway for singing it. Jews would consider it a betrayal and Christian's would consider it overstepping. I think the whole thing is inappropriate and insulting. It is one thing for a singer to CHOOSE to sing lyrics like "My Jesus, my savior...", but to be TOLD to sing that song is just plain wrong. |

If you notice on Shout to the Lord, they changed the lyrics from "My Jesus, My Savior", to "My Shepherd, My Savior". So people
wouldn't have to sing "Jesus". I don't think the name Jesus was sung once in their version. (But obviously that is what the song was about.)

That's not true. I don't know the song, so I wouldn't have KNOWN that the lyrics were "My Jesus, my savior" if that hadn't been what they sang on Thursday... |

Drew B wrote: That's true. Jewish was a bad example, though. Let's say the person is an atheist. First of all, I wonder if the producers would have taken their objections to the song seriously. Plus it's harder to tell if somebody is an atheist just from their apearance and last name. Then the contestant would have to make the decisions of either revealing their beliefs and risking losing votes or keeping things hidden. Guess that's what you have to do if you want to be a celebrity (not just famous, but celebrated by people). |

I'm pretty psyched for tonight, and I know I'm in the minority. Mariah's first three CDs are among my favorites and there are lots of great songs
on them. Also, "Mine Again" is playing right now, love that one. I hope someone does "We Belong Together" as well. But if someone, ANYONE
(except devil child) does "I Don't Wanna Cry", I'll be very happy.

For those of you who plan on drinking heavily, start ASAP. Rumor floating around is David Cook went sappy.
Cheers! |
