I don't really get the elimination. You have two people, both of whom did a pretty equally shitty job. The difference is, one of them did a shitty job in
her BEST genre while the other one was shitty in a weak genre for him. Why not keep the one who at least shows the potential to do much better in other styles?

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking Drew. I just knew they were going to oust Janelle cause she f'ed up in her own genre. Imagine my surprise when they
kept her.

It was probably because they wanted to keep another girl in the competition and because she had not be eliminated before. Oscar was on his second chance and
he needed to bring it and he did not. While Janelle has potential to get better Oscar pretty much admitted that this hip-hop thing the kids are doing
these days just ain't his thing.

I actually really liked this last episode. They did a fantastic job with the editing to not make anything obvious.
First, I was rolling my eyes that it was going to be so obvious that Miguel would win the challenge. Then I rolled my eyes that it would be so obvious Janelle would go home . Then I rolled my eyes near the end cause it was so obvious Mochi would win over Nick. Wrong on all three counts! Like most of you guys here, I'm pretty used to reality show editing by now, so I'm impressed they managed to trick me three times in one episode. Also, someone talked about how they didn't like Oscar's elimination cause the last 2 weeks were basically useless, but I feel the exact opposite. I think it's so refreshing they just eliminated Oscar rather than make him stay another week just to "prove" they were right in bringing him back (like every other reality show ever that brings contestants back). And really, despite the hot mess that is Janelle, he deserved it. He'd already been eliminated once and didn't do the choreography well this time either (in fact he was definitely the worst of the bunch in my opinion). But what I think really saved Janelle is when she spoke up and said she had helped with the choreography, which she had (albeit whine-ily). Oscar just danced bad and was the only one of the six who didn't really add anything at all to the choreography, which was part of the challenge. I like him enough, but the boot was right. And it just proves Tovah was robbed. I bet she would've "stepped it up" and looked great dancing to Rihanna's Umbrella, and Janelle would've been sent home this week. |

My bigger problem is that they didn't eliminate anybody last week. If they'd brought back Oscar but eliminated Janelle after the Latin performance, then I wouldn't care that they got rid of Oscar again this week. At least the show would be moving towards a resolution rather than just stagnating... I actually think they should have considered eliminating Cody for his horrible judgement. He chose bottom-two Janelle when he could have (should have) chosen top-two Mochi. Dumb! |

I actually thought that too! If it were anyone besides Cody, that person would've been B2 for sure and maybe eliminated. I mean, he chose a bad team
(though I do see why he would go for Janelle, but if it were me I would've picked Mochi) then choreographed the worst piece which they called him on, then
tried to just outdance Janelle and Oscar rather than really concentrating on dancing with them, which they called him on, and didn't even do a great job
with his dancing, which they mentioned, but yet he wasn't even in the B2. But really, from a producer's standpoint, putting Cody in the B2 unless
you're going to eliminate him is pretty useless cause everyone knows he isn't going anywhere.
On a different note though, I really liked the teams; that was about the best job anyone could do in splitting them up into two teams with an interesting/odd mix of dancers on each and it just happened randomly. |

I think they didn't eliminate anyone the other night because of the first girl who left on an injury. If she hadn't left, they would have had someone
extra to eliminate OR they wouldn't have brought back anyone.
Janelle was a wise choice because she did brag about her hip hop ability, but she wasn't a wise choice because she's only 18. I do think that the judges were right.. in a few years, Janelle will probably be awesome.. she just needs the experience. |

I can't figure out why they cast her. There must be a zillion girls at dance camp that are at least as good or better than she is. |

Janelle is my fav. Its not that Janelle is a bad dancer, she's good, she's just not the best one left. Who knows she may make a 180

Is the "Umbrella's" style of dance really even hip-hop? On SYTYCD, for what it's worth, I think they'd call it "pop"... And just because she brags about being good at something doesn't mean that she IS good at it. Week after week after week (pretty much the whole time after the first week), she has simply sucked, regardless of the style. |

Well, I don't know exactly how much you hate it, but I hate it with every fiber of my being. It may just be the most over-rated song ever.

^^^ Word!!!!!!
I have only heard mentioning of Rihanna, never the music until this show the other night, thought it sucked, and it was torturing to have to listen to it over and over and over. Janelle is like the white, female version of Miguel, personality-wise. ugh! I did love the editing showing how both Miguel and Janelle thought they were going to kick ass and be leaders in the challenge, the expressions they kept showing were priceless. |

Are you for real? Where the fuck do you live/have you ever listened to the radio, watched a TV show, watched a movie, or walked outside? Because if you've done any of the above, I don't think thats possible. |

Where's all the love for Janelle's boot last night and the precious Miguel making it to the Finale?? Come on, I thought people would be all over this
one.
Or maybe, no one gives a shit anymore. |

During the judging, who did choreographer Nancy (? Is that her name? I call her Anne Meara, though her name is like Nancy O'Meara) tell to be quiet, because she was talking? Was it Elizabeth, or Toni Basil? |
