The one thing that made last season somewhat redeemable was that Tila talked about her struggle with coming out as bisexual...and some of the gay contestants
(ie Dani) even struggled with some aspect of being a lesbian. There was even the conversation between the one lesbian virgin and how Bobby couldn't
understand how she could just know she's out gay without ever being with a guy or girl...Which again, was actually very interesting. So, it kept it from
being TOO trashy and exploitative and somewhat "educational" for the vapid tweens that watch "The Hills" and "The Fake World."
But, now that Tila isn't dealing with the "struggle" anymore...and merely looking for a paycheck now...I know the show is just gonna go into "trash zone" real quick. And I know we argued the fact that a gay male doing this show doesn't have as much appeal...I still think they need one!!! |

Maybe they'll look different on screen. That's what I'm hoping for. Reality show contestants almost always look hopelessly fug in their bio pics. I don't think I've ever seen a flattering one. Even the people who turn out to be hot on the show often look like total crap in those shots. But, now that Tila isn't dealing with the "struggle" anymore...and merely looking for a paycheck now...I know the show is just gonna go into "trash zone" real quick. Yeah, and now that the world knows what a truly fake bitch Tila is, I'm sure there's no chance whatsoever that they attracted any normal, down-to-earth contestants like Dani last season. And it will be nauseating if Tila tries, again, to pretend that she's taking the "love" aspect of the show really seriously with fake crying and whatnot now that it's obvious she's one of the most insincere famewhores ever. Probably the best thing we can hope for with this season is that someone will be as genuinely batshit crazy as Vanessa was. Ooh! I wonder if there's going to be a charming young man from a foreign country with a pre-planned spinoff this time.

Yeah, really. I was just looking for this thread.
The premiere was entertaining as hell. This is definitely going to be good. I think the makeout session between the two girls was totally scripted (sure, Tila just happened to be walking past the door at that exact moment, what a coinkydink). Also, it was really annoying hearing her talk about how she "got her heart broken" by Bobby last season when everyone with two brain cells knows she's full of shit. But other than that, I loved it. Speaking of Bobby though, I actually feel kind of bad for him. He's obviously not the brightest bulb, but he seems like a harmless guy. It's pretty shitty that he was the one who got lied to and fucked over and now she's going around boo-hooing on TV about how he hurt her.

So, let's be honest...Chad gets kicked out after punching Bo. And what the HELL is with Tila attracting all these Jersey people?!?!?! And they're the worst type of Jersey guy...EVER. Jersey is the type of guy that I deal with at 3 am, he's drunk off his ass, I'm trying to get him to listen to me, and he just rambles on like an asshole. and um...the black cop was hot. And Mr. Hawaii has a touch of the gay. |

It doesn't seem like MTV has done much to promote this show. The premiere was OK. Hopefully it will get better.
Last year's contestants seemed legitamately nuts. These contestants just seem like they're playing to the camera, especially they Jersey boy. He should have been booted right away. It would be great if Tila brought back Vanessa and Brandi midway through the show for another shot at love <3. |
