Loopy...a little. But I use to post whilst dancing with Prince Vicoden last year. Plus the morphine has pretty much worn off...so meh.
Sore...not unless a move. My shoulders more so than tummy. WTF?? They removed the GB..stones and all. Just removing stones is just a band-aide...stones usually form again. OK...something BB related....ummmm...Baller FTW!!!! |

Wow, well I'm impressed. My MIL had the surgery last year and was an overnight stay. I thought anytime they used general anesthesia it was an automatic
overnight stay?
She had stones surgery the year before which was out-patient, and they used this "twilight" sedative which puts you under, but not all the way. My hubby's had a couple out-patient surgeries (two on his throat, one on his knee) with that twilight shit, too. Even with that, neither of them could walk or talk the rest of the day they were sooooo out of it! My husband cracked me up so bad. He was laying on the couch snoozing and he would wake up and ask me how the surgery went and what did the doctor say and then he would pass back out. 20 mins later he'd wake up, ask me how the surgery went and what did the doctor say... He did this the whole rest of the day all three times he had that twilight shit. The one time he had general, (he was inpatient) and that boy did not wake up for hours and hours. Weird shit. I've never had general my own self - I hear some people even get sick from it. Yuck! So how long is your recovery? Are you like movement or driving restricted? Do you have people there to help you out? |

I'm not suppose to drive for at least 24 hours. I have 2 teens and an 11 yo...so they have me taken care of. Both teens drive and will take little one to and from school tomorrow. Usual recovery is 5-10 days no work.
Since I take pain meds pretty much everyday (1 or 1/2 vic), I have a high tolerance and don't have the same effects most peeps do.
I just feel a little sleepy still and wondering why I am watch AI right now. I'm about to hit the sack...

yeah, I gotcha. Glad you've got the two older ones to help out. Sounds rough!
Maybe that's why you were given a general anesthesia instead of just like a twilight thingie - maybe they didn't think it would take you under enough? Do they normally use that for that surgery? I'm pretty clueless!! All I know is what my hubby & his mom experienced with their in & out patient shit. They told us general meant a hospital stay! I've had the twilight only - and I don't remember that day lol. Hope you got a good supply of pain meds! Save them for the summer when the feeds are boring so you can pass them around for a little bit of drunk feeds posting. |
