I made this last night, but it feels like it's missing something. Obviously I have to add the location and some random crap to the sides, but the island just seems like it needs something more. Any suggestions?

I like the general layout and graphics (especially the designs on the sides.)
I have two issues with it: -The color scheme. There are just too many competing colors for my taste. I'd like something like this: 
-I'd like the Samoa subtitle to have a different font than Survivor just to set it apart. Other than that, very cool. |

I agree, I like Bluth's color scheme more--but awesome job. Although it's too simple to be a real logo for a new season haha. Add a few more details on
the outer ring and maybe a few tribal things on each side of the island. Great job though

Thanks for the comments, Franklin and bev! The red in the center has to stay, but now that I look at it, I do think the teal is a bit much. Which color from the interior portion of the logo do you think would make it look cleaner?

definitely the yellow on the sides. the red and blue gives it an american feel which is kind of cool seeing as some people call it "the american
samoa" as it's owned by the US

Yeah I'm torn between the yellow and the blue. The blue would match their flag, which is kinda what I did with the Tanzania logo, but either way works. But
yeah, definitely finding a different font for "Samoa" will make it look more true to the real logos.

That Samoa one is gaw-jus, MD. The color scheme is awesome.
I'm not crazy about all the gray on the Brazil one. I don't quite understand what's going on in the bottom part of the graphic. I do like the sunset on the top though. |

i agree. maybe a different color than just black around the outer ring, too. and the gray would look cool if changed to a sand color like the pictures
we've seen of the location. i almost think the backdrop designs for those two logos should be swapped. it seems like palm trees and big sky go more with
samoa, and the waterfalls and heavy tree line correspond with brazil

I'd go with this one. It's a hard choice though with all the colors but I think the red goes with the middle of the logo. |
