Probst might have actually confirmed Gabon in an interview with USA Today. He says:

"Season 17 is somewhere very remote and on the equator. I think we're going to be able to do a challenge where you're on one side of the equator, and the other side by the end of the challenge"

"probably as remote as we've ever been. The place we're going is one of the last of its kind. It's so wild out there and the animals aren't used to anybody"

So we can scratch India, New Zealand, etc, etc.....

It is Survivor: Gabon!!!!

New here, but I've been a long time lurker- thought I would point out some possible locations.

The Nile Islands- I know Egypt has always been a popular location idea, and I figured Survivor likes to shoot in National Parks, so I googles National Parks of Egypt and came across this location. It's a somewhat swampy area but still island-ish, and has the charms of Egypt and the Nile. Its a National Park too so I think they would have more privacy there.

I also think that any location in the lowlands of Patagonia near the mountaisn in Argentina would be awesome.
India, too, has long been considered by fans and many people said it would never happen because of overpopulation and the conditions of the wildlife areas in India. Actually though there are many national parks in the jungle regions that are teeming with Elephants and Tigers that you need special permission to get into, so I wouldn't rule out India.

I'll always hope for a cold season, maybe in the Taiga forests in the Russia-Siberia area, but I doubt it will ever happen.

I don't know about Egypt? Isn't it supposed to be a very strict country? I heard that they recently jailed a couple of people coz they were gay or something like that. Don't u think they would be upset about women walking around half0naked as well?
