Maybe he thinks he's safe, leaves the idol behind, realizes he's going home and can't do anything about it.

If he forgets the idol and realizes he's in danger at tribal, the only difference between his scenario and James' is that James did not realize he was in danger. Ozzy realizing his position too late cancels out with the fact that James had not one, but two idols he didn't play. I'm chalking it all up as Probst making something out of nothing just to get some hype going. I mean, Jason's not stupid enough for the mentioned scenario to happen.... or is he? It'd make for good tv though

HE MUST DIE! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

Todd's been doing all these interviews and basically basking in his 'fame' but has he ever answered the question of why the fuck he gave BOTH idols to James when he could've just gotten James to search at his own camp? Biggest blunder or not, I don't see a reason for why 'mastermind' Todd Herzog, oh BRILLIANT STRATEGY KING (excuse me while I puke....) made such an idiotic move. Actually Todd has answered that questions. He said, he's not sure if the other idol in Zhan Hu camp is on the same place as in Fei Long camp. That's why he gave the idol to James to ensure if he cant find the idol in Zhan Hu, he can use the one in Fei Long. So it's pretty strategic move for him. 1. It gains James trust. 2. It makes him have numbers in the merge. He never expect though, that James will be so greedy and never give them back. Todd actually asked him to give it back, but James only said when the time comes, he will give it back to Todd.

The truth is that James would've probably won if not for Amanda, since Todd gave up his best chance to get rid of James when Jean Robert rudely...also wanted to get rid of James...or something...His answer doesn't even make sense if you think about it, much like his desperate wacky imp strategic mastermind persona is an act. He won because he was the leftovers of a shitstorm of the worst players ever and they were all too dumb to see past his own vague self-promotion, just like some of the people here. I hope the new idol blunder has something to do with Ozzy almost as much as I hope it has to do with Jason.

To me, its less stupid to be blindsided with 2 idols then to have 1 and not even bring it in case something comes up.

After the swap of Aaron/James and Frosti/Sherea in China, Amanda said that she wanted to throw the challenges to get rid of them and keep Fei Long intact, but Fei Long was against it, so that's why she sat out of that first post-swap challenge, because she didn't want to contribute to a win she didn't believe in. And Todd and James made a deal that at final 5, James would give an idol back to Todd, but eventually James would have probably won at least one individual immunity, eliminating the need for the idols. And if he kept winning, then the final 4 would've been Amanda/Courtney/James/Todd, and if James got to the final 3, he would've won. And that's why I <3 Amanda and feel that she doesn't get enough credit.

She'd be immune, in her mind, regardless) and gets the boot. Jeff says James is ecstatic about the blunder, and if he goes at F8/F7 as the spoilers say, it has to be at F10 (when Eliza gets the boot) or F9. Jason may go out after Eliza, either way, I think this "blunder" refers to one or both of them.

The editing has it set up for a huge Jason downfall. The time's a wastin'!

They may have thought it was misplaced treemail or something and burned it. Or they could use that as their excuse if the idol isn't hidden in the belongings of the finder.

In the Jeff article "Survivor Shockers", there is one little section about how shocking the idol will be played this time. But the part about the blunder he says this.... In Micronesia, says Probst, "there are three or four people lining up to hold that crown." Like James some are on the receiving end of what the host claims are more blindsides at tribal council than ever before. "We have four or five," he says, "in a row". Play on, Players! And the title of this section of the article is called James passes on the title of "Dumbest Move in Survivor History"! So it could just mean that there are many dumb moves by people that are so bad it overshadows James's blunder. It doesn't say that it has to do with the actual hidden immunity idol. He just said that the idol is played in such a shocking way that "your jaws will drop". It could even be a successful move for all we know. I wouldn't be shocked if what StevieBlazer said happens to Eliza/Jason is one of the dumbest moves.

On another note someone said that they never saw an idol being given from one person to another and that person going home...it happened in Fiji: Ed/Alex --- Mookie gave the idol to Alex and Earl/Yau & co got word from Dreamz and booted Edgardo instead.
