Posts: 357 (02/12/09 11:12 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	here's some advice. next week put on surround sound, turn up the volume, sit in the CENTER of your room and you will be mesmerized by the theme and beat and char shots....and smoke some too that always helps :) The theme was awesome and the shots were cool. Don't forget Candance when mentioning intro shots! PS: <3 Sandy

I kinda like the intro now... i dont know why i was hating on it b4... i rewatched the clearer version and I think it is pretty awesome... porbably the best for an inland location(second to only China)... I love all the nature shots... n I love that the visuals are colorful (not like the bland gabon visuals) ... the only major problems i have are that they don't have the "16 castaways" in the beginning and also the 39 days part....

Posts: 1838 (02/13/09 2:22 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	the castaways' intro shots were pretty cool and the overall feel of the theme was nice but I kinda miss the production values of the olden days, the still shots, creative and dynamic time lapse clips and everything... from a glance the theme sounds like nothing special but just like Amazon if you listen closely it comes alive. In fact this feels like a much louder version of the Amazon theme, without the mystic feel of the Amazon. Kinda like Gabon was a half assed version of the Africa theme, this is a more adventure-y version of the Amazon theme. and to whoever said this was the best opening credits for an inland location, go back and watch Outback and Africa

I take back everything i said its actually a good theme. Its kinda catchy beat saved the theme from being one of the worst to almost really good.

And where the hell was the "16 castaways" part? Anyway, most of the shots were kinda bland except for Tyson, Debbie, and Candace. Their shots were EPIC.

This is the sort of thing I do for a living, and going in and changing one number would maybe take all of a minute, not counting rendering time. And if they're going to be going in and removing the booted castaways, then they're going to have to re-render it each week anyways.

I really wish they had had the still shot instead of the close up shot... it makes it more dramatic. Also, i wish they would have had more of those Tribal people with the feathers on their heads... the 39 days part and the missing 16 castaways are the most disappointing for me...

Comes of as having a very celebratory/carnival/latin vibe. It incorporates a few elements from earlier themes without sounding like a knock-off of any of them. The first 15 seconds kinda give me chills - the new percussion elements give this theme a completely different feel while still keeping it instantly recognizable as the Survivor theme.
