I think yesterday's theme had the Original AV opening and Fiji's ending SC15. Ok, so can I officially say that this season's intros have just
SUCKED!!!!! I really wish they would go back to using the one motion shot and then the still shot. I liked what they did with China's intro b/c the motion
shots in in that intro were much more interesting and they had a lot of movement. This time, the survivors are just standing there and not doing nething
interesting. Using the still shot makes it more dramatic and strylized. That was what was good about Micronesia's intro. During the recap episode this past
week, they showed some of the footage of the survivors posing for the still shot and I think the intro would have been much better if they had used them (w/o
the audition footage ofcourse). I especially liked the one of sugar they used at end where they actually did would artisitic work on it ( the one in the
preview at the end).

I personally would like for them to do very differentiated intros for each castaway, like they did in the first four seasons. They had a good mix of action
shots, still shots, and other cool effects that we just don't see anymore (like Kelly's very dramatic intro, or Tina's speedy intro that scrolled
through three different pictures). Marquesas was personally my favorite, though.

I liked what they did in China the best but I'd like one exception. I think they should run the regular promo pre-merge without eliminating people one by
one. At the merge I think they should redo the entire intro with new shots of them in the merge challenges. Then from there they can edit it when players join
the jury.

It would also be cool for them to film a merge tribe title card similar to the original tribe cards, rather than simply have a typed word on the screen like they've been doing. |

I meant this picture, Zhan Hu.This pic looks a bit stylized with all the leaves in front of her pic, so I feel they would have used this picture for Sugar if they went with still shots. ![]() ![]() ![]()

They probably filmed still shots while they were out there, then decided to use two action shots instead on the cutting room floor. That one pic of Sugar at
least gives us a sense of what the stills might have looked like this season.

No, i think all that stuff is in-studio. Like the end logo, the tribe torches, the photo shots, that's all studio made probably after theyve gotten back to
LA.
I'm sure they filmed the close up smiley shots in gabon when they were taking the promo-pics. I do like those a lot better than the still photos, they remind me of the old introductions they used to do (and recreated in All-stars) |

They didn't have posed smiling shots in the All-Stars intro. They did the action shot/still photo combination that they usually do. The last intro before
Gabon that used live action posing was Marquesas (though Cirie's action shot in Micronesia was also posed, oddly). This season, the only people who had
"close up smiling" shots in the intro were Jacque, Charlie, and Paloma. Everyone elses' close ups were taken from the footage where they were
assembled together in the first episode, or from camp shots.

Amazon had some too that were used in the MTV preview special and can be glimpsed slightly in their recap episode. Pearl islands had some goofy in-studio poses that I believe was used for marketing rather than on the show. although the original poster was wrong with it being recreated for All-Stars since that was the first time they used them for that. Seasons 1-5 had shots of the castaways at home for the marooning intros. |

Mypoody2 wrote:That photo of Sugar is taken at location while filming. After the tribes are marooned, the cast is taken for their respective confessionals, it is here where their "intro" pics are taken and they video taped for promos and such. I just think that having a still photo makes the intro more dramatic and more in tune with the actual song. Otherwise, like in Gabon, the whole intro is just very mellow and boring. |

The song before tribal was so epic. I loved it so much I relistened to all the songs on the soundtrack to find it. I was hoping it wasn't a Vanacore one
cause his aren't on the soundtrack.
So... the song is "Urgent Times" on the Gabon soundtrack. ;D |

I love Vanacore's music the best, so it was probably one of his... he does the tribal music, the more orchestral music. |

yea I think your right. The Urgent Times one is similar to it, but the one on the show had a cool boom sound and violins goin so i bet it was a Vanacore one.
