Yes, everyone knows it was a cover of a cover. It was still the best of a bad night.

To be honest, I spent most of the time switching over to The Biggest Loser but
David Cook - huge douche who got major pimpage Micheal Johns - major pimpage gap Carly Kristy - patriotic bullshit gap Brooke-boring rest of them (having trouble remembering them) Bottom 3: Ramiele Jason Chiceze Ramiele will go because she went first and is cursed plus she sucks. Good night for the plants and You Tube. Paula is extra annoying this season.

Well, this week was Bizarro Idol for me. Most of my faves sucked. The song choices were the worst of any night of Idol I've ever seen.
1. David C. - vocally he was fine. He was the best on a very weak night. 2. Michael Johns - he's been decent week in and week out, but he took it to a new level tonight. I respect that. 3. Carly - I don't know what she did to piss off the judges, but it was a good song choice and she executed it well. 4. Jason - hated the song, but his vocals were decent. 5. Brooke - decent. Vanilla. 6. David A. - Yet another preachy, holier-than-thou song choice. What's next, recycling? Domestic violence? 7. Syesha - meh. 8. Kristy - her vocals were just OK, but there aren't enough eyerolls for that song choice. 9. Jacuzzi - shitty song choice, shaky vocals. 10. Ramiele - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

1. David Cook - Is there any doubt? He rocks and I'm soo glad I loved him from the start!
2. Aussie - He's back MATES! 3. Syesha - Wow. Sistah is workin it. No screaming anymore. 4. Brooke - <3 <3 <3 5. Irish Bitch - TIRED OF THE PIMPING!! She sounded fine, great even and I love the song choice. 6. David A. - Horrible song. He sounded fine in parts but very Disney-ish. 7. KKKristy - Welcome to Country week. 8. Jason - He's coasting now. It's time he comes out with another break out performance 9. Ramiele - ALOHA, my Aloha Kitty 10. Chikeze - Back to being dull, Back to being cheesy, Back to talking back. BOTTOM 3: Ramiele/Chikeze/Jason GOING HOME: Aloha Kitty (I hoping for Chikeze, but I'm prepared to lose Rami!!!) |

Apparently Ryan announced that Chris, I mean David, was doing the Chris Cornell version before he performed it. So I humbly retract any statement about him
taking false credit.
But in defense, Randy needs to stop calling him original. Smart, sure, talented, sure, good singer, sure, but as long as he covers songs and doesn't change up the arrangement himself, he isn't original. |

If Randy didn't personally work on the record, it's not on his radar.

After I read the song selections I thought the night would be a disaster, but it wasn't that bad. Dull perhaps.
1. David Cook -- overrated, but the big notes were more impeccable than any of the belters this season 2. Michael Johns -- pulled off a very difficult song with some charisma 3. Jacuzzi -- much more smooth than the judges gave him credit for 4. Brooke 5. Carly 6. Syesha 7. Kristy 8. Ramiele -- start and finish were very pretty 9. Jason 10. David Archuleta -- awful song choice, mediocre performance, and he looks miserable |

1 - David C. - 10/10 - Not only his best performance, which is saying a lot, but the best performance of the season so far and one of the best of the entire
series. In my opinion, the first 10/10 of the season. And I don't even like the original version of Billie Jean. Absolutely brilliant.
2 - Syesha - 8/10 - Good song choice and strong vocals and performance. She's really stepped it up with last week's and this week's performances. 3 - Michael - 7/10 - His best performance so far. 4 - Carly - 7/10 - Great song choice but she didn't hit it out of the park like I thought she would. Better outfit and hair this week, though it's odd she seems to not like any type of sleeves, as if she's determined to show off her tattoos every week, but they fit in with her look this week. Her vocals were good though they sounded a bit forced, and I really liked the ending and how she switched it up from the original. 5 - Brooke - 7/10 - Great song choice, great beginning despite starting over, but it faltered a little bit through the middle and end with the band coming in. It might've been spectacular had she not used the band and also I wished she had continued longer with the first line (the "Every breath you take" lines; not sure if it's the chorus or a verse or what) instead of cutting it off halfway through to go to the next part. Good performance and better than last week but not her best. Liked the straight hair. 6 - Jason - 7/10 - Good song choice and performance, though he is playing it a bit safe 7 - Kristy - 6/10 - Clever song choice, though with her not getting panned by the judges, it'll almost take the fun out of seeing her last another week, if she does. 8 - David A. - 6/10 - Odd song choice, standard performance, great vocals 9 - Ramiele - 6/10 - Great song choice, not so great execution. I'd like to root for her but she keeps giving mediocre performances. 10 - Chikezie - 3/10 - Really bad song choice, though his vocals were strong. During his intro he made it seem like the last few weeks he's gone against his gut in choosing songs while this week he went with his gut. If this is true, his gut might be about on par with Lex's for judgment. |

Cheezie Brain: Chikezie/Jason/Ramiele Heart: Chikeze/Jason/Michael Gut: Chikezie/Ramiele/Carly I think Chikeze is a goner. Just like with David and Amanda I just don't see people sitting around voting their asses off for him. I really doubt he has the fanbase. If not him, Ramiele. |

Yes Ryan did say that he'd be doing the Chris Cornell version right before the performance. Once people started saying that they should acknowledge which
version David is doing they started doing it.
