I have a $90 Brother printer that's been good. The ink it came with was darker than the refill I just installed though.

I can't believe people still use inkjet printers (other than for photos). They cost more in the long run and since they are made with the cheapest
parts available they break down with heavy use.

I have never been terribly impressed with Brothers. I have an HP6 that has lasted for 10 years. It would still be my primary printer today if it wasn't
for memory issues. I have a color laser now. Even though I seldom use color it was only $100 more so why not?
