I'm gonna agree with birdlady and say it's a cargo net.

If you look at the side elevation view it appears that the grid part is extended above ground. If they were wearing belts I'd say it was a 'wend your
way along the rope' grid, but they're not. It's also very wide.....so they're not just crawling thru a rope mesh grid.

Seems kinda silly to sit parvati out of this one....she would seem to have excellent balance.

Dayum, Jason is pretty much skin and bones, innit he?
As for sitting out Parvati, I suppose they have sat out Natalie enough or something. I would expect that all the women on that tribe have good balance, certainly Eliza does.

Looks like Probst is reading some sort of startling twist... If this is the only challenge for the week, I wonder if it's a deal where the winner gets
their choice of reward or immunity. Kinda like in Fiji when they traded Liliana for the nice camp.
There must be more than one heat? It looks like Ami is standing where we saw Cirie in the promo. OOH! Remember that challenge in Fiji with the battleship grid, and Probst had all these buttons to set off gas burners like you use for hot air balloons? And the whole thing was so weird and boring and disconnected that Stacy won? What if the grid for this challenge is similar, and the other player for each team has planted mines in it, which they can set off as needed. Not with like real shrapnel that could slice into your brain and leave you in a permanent vegetative state, cause that would be irresponsible, but just with like sharp coral and sticks and stuff. (It would also be cool, if they have an auction, if one of the prizes was a jar with all the meds Kathy didn't take while she was out there.) |

Definitely more than one heat. When Eric splats himself on the deck, he is all alone. He's next to Jason in MayanSun's new images.
Looks like there is only one set of barrels for both tribes to use, should be some good collisions at the intersection. Kinda like in Fiji when they traded Liliana for the nice camp.lol The background when Jeff is reading the note is lush jungle, when he's on the podium the background is water and a few trees, so him reading a twist at some other point in the challenge is certainly possible.

Looks like Probst is reading some sort of startling twistThis is just a guess, but, could it be one of those secret letters that he shows them before the Challenge, but doesn't read until after, and could the note explain that the winning tribe gets to kidnap a person from the losing tribe? Possibly keeping them safe from TC? Parv and her girl power want Amanda? |

What's that I see in Jason's hand as they are leaving the challenge?I'm going to guess it's a stick. What's the deal with this whole kidnapping concept? Is there any actual evidence of Amanda at the other camp, or are we just brainstorming things they might recycle from a previous season? |

I think people are assuming Amanda gets kidnapped becuase Parvati is striking deals with Natalie/Alexis for a final four pact with her and Amanda. I guess it
would seem weird for her to make deals on behalf of Amanda without Amanda's consent. Amanda being kidnapped would make sense becuase since the final four
pact is made, it would make sense that Amanda was there.

She wouldn't have to be there becuase she is being offered the deal, not suggesting it.

Amanda doesn't have to be there, either, since she is neither suggesting or being offered a deal. Her role in the promo scene is comparable to that of a
stick. It's a very nifty move by Parvati.

I'm going to guess it's a stick. You mean Jason actually BROUGHT his HII to the challenge ;-) If this is for immunity and they are arriving, wouldn't that be the II in Jason's hand to return it? |

I don't mean anything; it just amuses me to point out that Jason is an idiot.
But yeah, if they knew to bring the immunity idol, then they knew ahead of time it wasn't just the reward challenge. So that's not what Probst's paper says. It is possible that a paper could say "Go straight to tribal council. Do not pass your camp. Do not collect the hidden immunity idol." |

I dont' really have anything to add. It's just Thursday night and I don't know what else to do since there is no Survivor ...
I know, I'm pathetic, but I like to think not as pathetic as to believe a badly carved stick is the II. |

A lovely overhead view of the course (although I still don't see what's at the very end).

?Amanda takes at least one turn. (Eliza is returning from having fallen off, not from a complete return trip, btw.)
"... in the most extreme challenge yet, the injuries continue." We only see Erik, but we get two different views of him - two injuries?
