Oh, by the way, Ian quit at the FINAL THREE and he was a strong man. Probst just said "okey dokey, let's have TC here." Not only did he not RIP him to SHREDS, he even gave Tom the chance to vote. And why? Because he wasn't black. It's the ONLY EXPLANATION, guys!

Jeff Probst is a racist, plain and simple. Accept that fact and deal with it. More like Jiffy can't bear to see the alphas take the pussy way out. It's been a part of Jeff's mentality for god knows how long that Survivor should be about challenge dominance - I'd say that he finds women who quit to re-affirm this (getting Janu to admit that she couldn't hack it) and doesn't make a big fuss over it. OTOH, a big strong supposed alpha quitting sort of wrecks that idyllic view that he's maintained, hence, the bitchiness. As a Survivor fan, I hate that I have to defend Probst. As a black person, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop using the race card for this - it cheapens it for the rest of us who would like to play it for stuff that actually matters. tyia.

Osten was quitting the game when there were six people who had just fought at a chance to get back in the game. 3. Osten was not a nice person, like Kathy or Janu. 4. Osten's reasoning for quitting was not based on just being an emotional basketcase or trying to be noble. 5. Osten was a sexist, who on the first day told the women of his tribe to flash their boobs to get supplies. 6. Osten was an asshole who basically moped around for nineteen days and wasn't even upset when he left, despite the fact that three other people from his tribe had gone home before him because he couldn't have quit earlier. Yeah, Osten's an asshole and he deserved to be treated like shit on the way out. The only other quitters thus far have been people who either got voted out fairly by their tribe, which isn't quitting, because the tribe can decide to override their wishes, and: Jenna M.: She was worried about her mom, and her mom ended up dying shortly thereafter. Sue: She felt violated, humilated, and totally spent. Also she got grinded by Dick's dick, which is enough to cause emotional trauma. Janu: She had been sick the entire time in the game and she basically knew that she was being used as an extra vote, and she didn't think it was fair that Steph would be voted out while she stayed in. Kathleen: She was crying and sobbing and she couldn't even stop herself from crying because she was just mentally unstable and couldn't handle it. With the exception of Janu, every quitter either left the game crying or enraged. Osten however just sat there and acted like he didn't even care about anything other than going home. To summarize: Osten is a dick and he deserves to be treated like shit. He's the worst player in the show's history.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember hearing Probst making comments about how she just didn't "fit" and that she was a casting mistake this season? I remember hearing Probst comments and immediately thinking to myself "Ohhh Probst thinks she was a mistake, I bet she quits!"

So I think that's the reason why it seemed like he was so harsh toward Osten instead of the most recent quitters.
