I was talking to this Asian guy at work, and I asked him to spell his name. Afterwards, I repeated it back to him, using the military way that we always use- A as in alpha, d as in delta, etc. When I came to his middle initial, I started to say, "C as in ch...." and I stopped cold. I looked up at him, didn't know what the hell to say, and he just smiles and says, "C as in charlie, yes." My bad. |
