Friends - you have to vote your hearts on who you like in the game now I know too much of what's to come to say anything - I don't want to inadvertently give even a clue of what craziness is yet to come! I do want to give a little insight into Kathy though. Her response was extreme to my leaving, but what wasn't shown was how she and I had bonded in three days. I was the only one who would sleep with her in her little hut. (It was my pleasure - not an obligation!) and while I was there for her to talk to and we enjoyed each other, she was a real comfort to me too. Some thing interesting about my three days on the fan beach - we arrived on a Friday late in the afternoon and slept in their awful huts. Then on Saturday morning, James found a cave that they hadn't ever located! In 13 days they hadn't found it and he found it in like 4 minutes of daylight. We spent Saturday building the new shelter (I rested honestly for most of it - my leg was starting to get weird and I was tired in a way I'd never been on the Island before…) anyway, that night it started to rain and we all made our ways from the shelter by the beach to the cave. It was black and raining and there was no trail so James and Jason lead us through the woods by feel and bat sonar or something. We all held hands and I was at the rear, limping along. Kathy had my hand and really watched out for me. Made the others go slow etc. and we got there together in one piece. Did the same thing the next night too - it poured rain and I was a serious gimp by that point. Anyway, she was wonderful. So while she was self aware enough to say 'I've only known him for three days..' I think I actually really did mean something to her without her buddies Chet and Tracy there with her. I was the oldest and was/is genuinely interested in her, wacky as she was in some ways. (let him amongst us who has never been wacky cast the first stone). We did enjoy each other and laughed a lot. So I do believe my leaving may have been hard for her at that point… Another quick story I was surprised they didn't include in the cut, just because it was so stupid. That first night sitting around drunk on cheap wine, good meat and pain killers, I was sitting with Eliza and some of our new tribemates around a fire, eating talking etc. Eliza gets up and I want to talk strategy with her. So I waited a beat so it wouldn't be too too obvious and went over to her in the shadows, she's silently standing there and I say something like, 'I'll sleep with Kathy and see what I can learn and you sleep with the others with Parviti and James and make sure they don't work the rest of these fans too hard - we'll need them right?' And she sort of implied yup and I wandered off so as not to be busted with her. Well, I wander off a few yards to the other fire, and who do I run into but…. Eliza! My f'reaking stomach drops out as I realize I was talking to someone else in the shadows! Turns out it was Natalie, and I spent the whole damn night listening to Kathy with one fascinated ear while trying to figure out what the hell I was going to say to Natalie the next morning… Well I found her very early and sort of b.s.ed about how I'd known immediately I wanted to work with her and wanted to see what she'd do and asked how'd it go with the others that night? and truly, though I have no idea if she knew I was full of it, by the end of the next day, she, Alexis, Eliza, and I were ready to go... at least that's what I thought… future episodes will tell us all what happened… anyway an all time idiotic move on my part… but I thought a pretty funny slip up… hope you're all well, best, Cry Baby Penner.
