I hate the Dodgers, and wanted the Cubbies to win so bad!
Gosh, they haven't won a World Series in "centuries." Now it's the 9th coming up, LA leading 3-1. Anything is possible, but I'm afraid the Cubs may be swept. So sad, after the great season they had.

Pretty sad that they lost to a team that was below .500 a month ago and went 7-7 in the last couple of weeks of the regular season. The Dodgers are like the
Rockies of last season. A mediocre team that had a late season surge that extended into the junior varsity (ie National League) phase of the postseason. Only
to get the shit kicked out of them by the Red Sox. It's deja vu all over again.

The playoffs are a joke anyways. Play 162 games and the first series in the playoffs is best 3 of 5. It's silly. You can win 120 games in the regular
season, but if you have a bad three game stretch against a late surging team, you're fucked.
It's really not fair that a dirty, egotistical piece of shit like Manny wins everywhere he goes. |

Yeah, but the Cubs didn't have much success even with the way it worked prior to 1969. Granted, if the World Series were a contest between the two first
place teams like it used to be, that's where they'd be, but they've lost the last seven World Series they've appeared in.
