The reason no one is really talking about it is because it didn't happen in New York and didn't involve one of the Eastern teams. So no one cares. MLB Winners Roundup for Friday, August 15 2008 AL: Cleveland, Baltimore, Kansas City, Tampa, Minnesota, Oakland (DADGUMMIT!). Toronto at Boston was rained out and will be made up Sept. 13 in a day-night DH. NL: New York, Chicago, St Louis, San Francisco, Colorado, Arizona, Philadelphia, Los Angeles Take a bite of one of today's 15 scheduled games. You'll love it! PS for those of you with a team in the SSOT Fantasy Football league, just a reminder that the live draft is today at Noon Central time.

Riske faced one batter and that batter hit a shot right at the centerfielder. Villanueva came in and allowed a big insurance run on a home run. The Brewers only got men to second base in three innings. They only had 3 at-bats with runners in scoring position and the one chance they had late they had the right guys coming up in Fielder and Hart and neither of them could get the job done. Weeks again looked pretty shakey making the pivot at second base. All in all the Brewers fell short in pretty much every area of the game.

So no one cares. That and the other Sox team just did it a couple of years ago. Jamie Moyer has allowed three runs or less in 13 straight starts. Unbelievable considering he barely hits 80 on the gun. Gotta love it. Maddux is still a sexy stud beast that can still hit any spot he wants. He can hit my G spot any day. :swoon

Brewers are going to need Sheets to get back on track if they stand a chance. Also, without Braun, the Brewers lineup doesnt look much better than the Reds or Astros. Granted, they were able to beat up on the Reds, Natspos, and Badres, but that doesnt take much. Without him in the lineup, I cant see them taking a game from the Dodgers in their house, especially without CC or Sheets in the series.

Every other team in the American League has a losing record on the road. Conversely, only the Royals and Mariners have losing home records in the AL. In the NL it's the same story: the Phillies, Brewers and Cards are the only teams with winning road records, while only the four worst teams have losing records at home. Nevertheless, on any given day the schedule is balanced appropriately with both home and visitor wins.

A Sunday fucking afternoon with the best team in the NL in town and their own Marlins not out of the East pennant race and no Marlins fan in Miami can be bothered to attend this game because the scant few who had tickets apparently sold them all to Cubs fans? Pitiful. They should be stripped of their world series titles.

I was all set to go on a "Just because I'm focusing on the Olympics right now, don't think for a second Cubs that I'm not paying attention to what you're doing" rant. Then they got 8 runs and I was all better.
