Teixera, gone. Hudson, probably out for the season. Chipper back to the DL. Francaur sucks. I think its pretty safe to say that the Braves are done this season, especially with 3 far superior teams in front of them for their division.

Yes because they were so fucking great in 2006 when they had a losing record kthxfacts. If you're honestly belly-aching over your team trying to build up its future, you have the wrong idea. This is the team that flipped Renteria, who currently sucks, for Jair Jurrjens. If anything, you should be annoyed that all they were able to get for Tex was Kotchman.

Posts: 750 (07/30/08 3:04 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	eat a dick, fuckface. where in the world are you getting that i was trumping up the 2006 season? despite the losing record, they were still anticipating being competitive in the near future -- they were not dealing stars to competitive teams at the deadline, they were making roster moves for the here and now, and in 2007 made the deadline move for Tex to try to gain ground on the Phils was obviously a bid for the division. i have no problems building for the future, it's just a bitter pill to swallow that the team is in fact completely focused on future potential and the last vestiges of the long divisional dynasty are officially gone.
