Update on the Pirates Yankees trade that sent Nady/Marte to the Yankees. There are the actual players dealt to the Pirates:
The Yankees parted with four Minor Leaguers in Friday's deal with the Pirates, two of whom had appeared in Major League games -- right-handers Jeff Karstens and Ross Ohlendorf. A year ago, we heard that famous line:
"Why is Jeff Karstens a major league pitcher?"

He took the perenial celler dweller Dallas Mavericks and made perenial contenders out of them. Id love to see what he can do with a team that already has all the tools. |

This is going to be a great battle, probably going down to the last series. It'll make both clubs better in the long run as well.

The immortal Kyle Lohse, 12-2, is getting bombed at Shea. Just surrended back to back 2 run HRs, an inning after a 2 out Wright solo.
And SIG? No one over the age of 6 (except yourself, reSha and kiddiots) ever use the term retarded. Consider yourself intellectually and creatively challenged. |

Great, The Cubs have now caught up from 5-0 and the Brewers were leading 4-1 and are now losing 5-4. God can this team ever get it together?

No, you stated a delusional opinion using yourself as a benchmark.
You can be excused now. :dismissive wave: Moving along, the Mets helped out the Cubs and the Brewers when "God" tossed a complete game gem against the slumping Cards. He also went 2-4 at the plate with an rbi. Off to Miami. |
