well they arent going to push him off past the marlins series, and the only way he pitches against both is if he pitches on friday, and they clearly dont want
him pitching in 'back to back' games.

Maybe it's just that we consider Florida the bigger threat to our division title.
Can the Met ego process that possibility or has the false euphoria of beating the Rocks and Giants not worn off yet? |

Plus Pelfrey is red hot. I'd pitch after Santana.

Ready for the bet twisted?
The winner of the series gets to pick the loser's avatar for 2 weeks. |

If Cole doesn't pitch in the Florida series he'll have gone nine days without pitching. Manuel doesn't want that.

More excuses to ensure he doesn't pitch vs the Mets. Last time they moved Hamels up so he can face the powerhouse Braves.
And if you lose the bet, you're going to wear a nice LARGE Mets avi of my choosing. Don't pussy out like you did last time. ssts |

Moving up and moving back are two very different things.
Frankly, i would give him the nine days of rest considering he leads the league in iinnings pitched already. Also, listening to Manuel over the years i've learned he doesn't like to look ahead. He prefers to focus on the next game and how he can best win that one game. |

Myers and Happ in the rotation? Last I checked Eaton was still there. But since the Phillies don't want Hamels pitching two 'straight' games, why don't they move him back to pitch Tuesday and have Happ pitch Sunday? The rumors are that Eaton's going to be sent down (assuming he goes along with it.) They aren't going to push Hamels back to Tuesday cause then it looks like he doesn't want to face the Marlins Oh and Happ pitches in the minors tomorrow I believe? I know his 5th day is scheduled to be Tuesday's game so the plan was to bring him back up for that start. |

Oh geez. What does it matter who starts the games for the Phillies and Mets since Wagner and Lidge are going to do their best to give away the game in the end
anyway?

Lidge has been perfect this season sans last night's game.

Well then so glad he saved that performance for the game where he could fuck over fans of all the National League teams rather than just Phillies fans.

What can i say, we're givers.
Or we can pin it on Wagner who fucked it up for Lidge who fucked it it for everybody. |

lidge only gives up one run and its only when a) the phils are leading by more than 2 or b) its a tie game or the phils are losing. its not his fault he wasnt
put in his favorite position (behind twistys wife lolol).

Just wait until you get to the point where you get physically ill because you know as soon as Lidge comes in, your team has lost the game. Its coming.
