They can't even hit that.

Wow, the Cubs played the exact same game they did last night. Get an early lead before being dominated by a below average pitcher, and letting the pitcher take
it from there.
Its basic Brewer ball. give your pitcher an early lead, and if he can hang on, great, if not, too bad. |

So how has Don Cooper managed to turn 5 guys who would have been 3-5 starters on most teams into the 1990's Atlanta Braves pitching staff?

Does anyone know when Florida is supposed to start losing? They even beat Webb last night.
I guess the lesson is never underestimated a team full of players all playing for contracts. |

After watching Bartolo Colon pitch in person last night at Fenway all I can say holy fuck that man is fat. Is that what happened to Buckholtz, did he eat Clay

Sam Narron recently got bumped from AA to AAA. A very encouraging sign as Narron was not even listed as a top 30 Brewer prospect by Baseball America (listed #6
among left-handed starters in the Brewer's system). Is he a candidate for the Brewer's rotation in 2009? Narron picked up a win in his first AAA start
(6 innings, 4 hits, 2 runs, 3 walks, 0 strikeouts).

Put the Red Sox in the win column ia. Grand slam by Lowell makes it 11-3 after 6 innings puts the exclamation point on a 4 game sweep of the Royals (yawn).
Matsuzaka in line to be 8-0 2.40 ERA.

• Who's No. 1: Ask most people to name the best left-handed pitcher in the National League, and they'd answer Johan Santana. But a scout who has seen
Cole Hamels twice this month has a different answer: "Hamels probably has better stuff than Santana," the scout said, "because he's got a
better breaking ball. The only thing that's keeping Cole Hamels from being a premium, premium guy is health."
