Do any Melrose Place fans find it irritating that Rob Estes is playing this new character in the same "universe". I miss him as Kyle:( I forgot just how dreamy he is, he's so freaking hot.

Being the continuity fanatic that I am, yeah it actually does bug me. But it's not like they've never done it before. Remember back during 90210's original run when they brought in Laura Leighton to play "Sophie Burns" for 6 episodes the year after her character "Sydney Andrews" was killed off on Melrose Place?

I know I'm a huge geek, but I would love if one of the characters on this show casually mentioned knowing somebody who lived in "a building called Melrose Place" or something like that. And though I know it will NEVER happen, I would REALLY love it if one of these fashion shoots that Lori Loughlin's character goes on turns out to be with the Models Inc modeling agency!

I'm watching the most recent episode at the moment and lmao, I really don't know if i can bear watching it any longer.

"You were at Chris Brown's birthday! He's such an amazing... performer."

In comparison to the original, the new parents are just terrible. I loved how on the original pilot and beginning episodes of season 1 Brandon and Brenda were just such mid-west dorks and their parents were soooooo stable compared to all of the other parents. But I don't even think that is going to happen on this series at all, just wait until his bastard child comes back from the grave to ruin his life or something.

And none of these love triangles they are trying to bring in are not working at all.

Only if they can bring back Carrie Ann Moss! I wonder how much it would cost to bring her back. I think that she's the biggest star to come out of the 90210/Melrose/Models franchise...

I think the biggest star would be Hilary Swank, she was in one season of 90210 in 1997/1998 I think?

Ok here we are on episode two and there are few things that irk me about this revisit to 90210.

AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi) looks older than her on screen mother (and just about every other female on the show). Horrible casting choice. The 'new kids' Annie & Dixon have an instant sense of fashion coming from Kansas to CA? Ok.

I still enjoy this show for the mindless fun that it is, but it does not bode well that it got CREAMED in the ratings by the worst television show ever made - ON CABLE. (Secret Life Of The American Teenager on ABC Family).

Ouch. That line was such a clunker. I didn't know where she was supposed to be going with that...dancer, singer, WHATEVER. And she went with "performer". 16 year olds just don't talk like that. TV teens haven't been the same since Dawson's Creek.

When this show premiered in '90, I could never imagine that 18 years later I'd be geeking out on the interwebs. You guys have really done your homework! A+

Truly proving myself to be a major geek, I was thinking about this last night and remembered that before his character "Kyle McBride" debuted on Melrose Place, he had actually already appeared on that show for two episodes in the first & second seasons as "Sam Towler" (Michael's friend who hits on Jane), so his appearance on 90210 is actually the THIRD character that he's portrayed in this "universe". Heh, maybe that will be a future storyarc - Harry Wilson finds out he has two long lost twin brothers - Kyle McBride and Sam Towler.

Just thought I'd share that.

90210 Reveals the Father of Kelly's Son this Week

Well that mystery sure didn't last long.

While many thought that 90210 would hedge its bets a while and leave viewers guessing as to the identity of Kelly Taylor's babydaddy - perhaps at least until an Ian, Jason or Luke could be coerced into paying the CW's reboot a visit - sources confirm to TVGuide.com that lil' Sam's pop will be ID'd in the fourth episode, airing Sept. 16.

90210 Wants More Shannen, Extends Jennie's Stay

Shannen Doherty is done filming the four 90210 episodes she originally signed on to do, but maybe, just maybe, could be back for more.

"If the CW comes back with an offer for additional episodes, she's happy to consider it," the actress' rep, Gary Mantoosh, tells the AP. The netlet, in turn, said it would "love for [Shannen] to do more" episodes, and believes its "definitely" possible a deal will be worked out.

In the meantime, the buzzed-about reboot has extended Jennie Garth's run as West Bev guidance counselor Kelly Taylor, adding five more episodes to the half dozen the BH90210 alumna has already filmed. - Matt Mitovich

Just watched epi 2. Random Musings:

- Silver - she's got a beautiful face, but she makes Annie look like Rosie O'Donnell. Seriously, she is fucking NASTY skinny. When they showed her walking into the Walsh house wearing skinny leggings - ick.

- Annie - they are 'over-cuting' her. She does this weird scrunch nosed 'wow' face in EVERY scene. It gets old.

- Naomi MAY be the worst actress in the history of ever. And her parents? The mom is 34 and the dad is 35? With a 42 year old daughter - how does that work?

- L'Affair - so an uber rich guy in Bev Hills has some strange on the side. Wow, big shocker. At least the mom's answer was the most realistic - hey, we've got two homes, two kids - meaning that shit would all blow up if it ended. That's reality. Oh and the 'two kids' means they open the show up for a new character intro - Naomi's bro.

- Kelly and Teacher Guy - whatever. At least grab a titty before you start talking about meeting the kid.

- Kelly's mom - I forgot about her - probably the worst actress ever to grace the 90210 screen, but I'm glad to know that every alcholic and drug addict can somehow magically maintain their VERY expensive lifestyles without a hiccup.

- Ty - he's the gayer brother of Zac Effron. I thought for SURE he likes the cock. Something weird goin on there.

the chicks are cute, but they need to be hotter.

No way, Kelly's mom was always the best thing on 9021shit. Her coked out hosting of the fashion show was the single best moment- "That light is right in my eye!!"

I kept switching back to this new show just to catch Brenda but I kept missing her -but I did see Kelly's mom tell her two little brats to "GET OUT!!!" -now that's the show I want to see. Not the treacly Hallmark crap.

I remember the old drinking game of whenever Shannen says something bitchy, take a swig. God, I loved her- she could even make, "Merry Christmas, Mom and Dad" sound like she was on her worst period.

I miss Carol's- "Braaaaaaandon!", "Jiiiiiiiiiiimmmm", and "Breeeeeeeeeenda!"

I hate these people and the people getting a paycheck from it so much.

The only thing to look forward to is AnnaLynne McCord's (Naomi) shitty delivery each episode. She makes this show. I love how she is an ubber great bitch and then a horrible actress in drama. I don't know how she gets work but the bitch has a clover up her ass.

Taylor Stroup (Silver) is pretty but you know she's suppose to be chubbier. She has that chubby face to her.

Annie needs to be killed off. She is the worst part about this show. Only episode two and I was hoping Silver would accidentally let her bowling ball go and it would fly back knocking Annie into the next lanes ball return as a ball comes and smashes her face. Talk about looking old this bitch looks 30. Much older looking that Naomi who is at least hot.

The show needs more bitch slapping and ho's falling in pools.

So, funny shit.

I fly to Vegas yesterday morning (sunday) for a work thing. I get off the plane and head for the sports bar thing by the Starbucks in the Vegas airport to watch the 2nd half of the Bears game.

Who comes walking up to the Starbucks - none other than Ms Shannen Doherty. She got a coffee and then sat at a gate talking on her phone. A few people took pictures with her.

I walked up to her and sniffed her cooze so I figured I'd introduce myself. She's VEEEERRRRY pale in real life and has some busted teeth - kinda looks like there's a space between each tooth. Certainly not hot at all.

Apparently, she was in Vegas for Saturday's opening of the Lavo club. Bunch of C listers there.

We were at the Hard Rock 'Rehab' pool on Sunday complete with nasty stripper hos and steroid tattoo jersey douchebags and D lister Summer Altice was there. She's was actually quite fierce in her blue brown and pink polka dot bikini. VERY hot.

Ok, so Shannen Doherty ranks up there with most disappointing real world celeb sightings in my life. Summer Altice ranks up at the top - but not as hot as Natasha Henstridge when I saw her in about '94 or '95. The worst? Kitty Bartholomew from all of those home decorating things - she looked like satan.
