At least they're carrying on the 90210 tradition of having actors who look at least 10 years older than the characters they're supposed to be playing.

Apparently they have the world's coolest parents, too.
We used to call those "F" me shoes; back in the day.
I guess they bus the ugly kids to other schools.

Just debating at OT if girls in high school actually dressed like that.
Oh...and the number of episodes until one of them is replaced.
You can probably guess which one...

You must have forgotten the high school fashions of the OG 90210.... the girls wore ginormous blazers with the pleated pants and a bodysuit or sometimes an itty-bitty miniskirt, Steve buttoned his shirt up to his chin, Brenda fought over a huge green men's shirt with Brandon... 90210 never seems to get a handle on how kids really dress. But it's all good, that's not why I watched the show.

Ian Ziering: Returning to 90210 is a "Step Backwards"

Don't expect Steve Sanders to drop by West Beverly High or the Peach Pit any time soon.

While Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty - and for a while Tori Spelling - were more than happy to reprise their Beverly Hills 90210 roles on the upcoming spin-off, Ian Ziering is hesitant to return to his famous zip code.

"It's not really where my career goals are focused right now," Ziering told People. "I'm really looking down the line pretty far and this might be a step backwards."

He continued, "You know, Steve Sanders lives on in our hearts and in our minds."

But don't think the 44-year-old is wishing any ill will towards the show and his former co-stars' way. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

"I think that it's fantastic they're trying to recapture some of the excitement that 90210 brought to a decade," he said. "I wish them all the best of luck."

Ziering isn't the only former-90210 resident who's reluctant to appear on the CW spin-off. Luke Perry has also ruled out making an appearance, and up until Monday, Spelling was slated to bring back Donna Martin until an alleged salary dispute put a damper on those plans.

Yeah, I guess the new reworking of 90210 isn't up to the same standards of Tyrannosaurus Azteca.

CW not sending out '90210' screeners to critics

TV critics will have to wait to see the CW's highly-anticipated new 90210 series just like everybody else. The network announced today that it won't be sending out customary press screeners to generate reviews -- and ideally, good buzz -- for its new drama, which debuts Sept. 2. "We're not hiding anything... simply keeping the lid on 90210 until Sept. 2, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night, and letting all our constituents see it at the same time," the CW said in a statement.

90210 isn't the only new fall show that critics have yet to see. Since the 100-day writers strike postponed production on many freshman series, most of the networks (with the exception of CBS) haven't been able to issue screeners to the press for review.

Jennie Garth: Working With Shannen Not "As Bad As I Thought"

Jennie Garth admits she was initially uneasy about working with Shannen Doherty again. (The two famously clashed during their 90210 heyday - and once got into a fistfight.)

But when she reunited with Doherty to shoot CW's 90210 spin-off, she tells TV Guide, "It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

"I'm not much of a small talker, and I don't think she is either. I was a little nervous because I hadn't seen or talked to her in 14 years," she goes on. "Everyone was making it out to be such a big deal that I think we both fell prey to having that affect us."

With their squabbles behind them, Garth says, "I think it will be OK. We're both grown women, both professionals. Once we were working, it felt like a good fit."

Co-star Ryan Eggold, who plays Kelly's new beau on the series, admits "everybody was on pins and needles and sort of waiting to see how they'd react.

"They started off kind of tentative, but by the time we were five takes in, they were giggling and seemed to be reconnecting," he says.

Garth says she wishes she could reconnect with Tori Spelling, who recently quit the show over salary disputes.

Fighting back #$#%%, Garth tells TV Guide, "I know Shannen probably doesn't share the feelings that I have for Tori, but I love Tori like my sister."

She says she is encouraging fans to launch a "Bring Back Donna Martin" campaign.
