yeah Clay and Carly's version are nothing alike, Clay's still retains the bubbly sort of optimistic love song quality of the original, whereas Carly
makes it a somewhat somber and haunting kind of song.

I really like the studio version of Little Sparrow. Trouble is you hear it once and for hours you're singing "little sparrow, little sparrow"

Brooke's nearly put me to sleep. I love her, but not that song at all.

I think DCook just sang it wrong on the show, especially the beginning part. I'd believe that his studio version is a lot better and he just had an off
night Tuesday.
I got David C's, KLC's, Carly's, Michael's and Brooke's but so far I've only heard Kristy's. It's beautiful. Carly's "The Show Must Go On" is much better than her live. It seems like for some reason a lot of people were a little off Tuesday. I think it might be because of how much they had to do this week, like they had to do these songs plus everything for IGB and tape IGB and stuff. DCook's is awesome. The song is much better in full and starting off with the first verse would have helped his performance big time. The first verse really helps with the momentum of the song.

Jason wasn't off at all this week; it was easily his best week.
And his iTunes recording is, without any doubt, the bust of the bunch this week. The producers must see what a good following he will have if he does well enough in the competition. They would be very dumb not to let him come near winning. |

I said most of them, I didn't mention Jason specifically.

The "sales bump" this week goes to Jason Castro, followed by David Archuleta. Both "Over the Rainbow" and "Angels" are outpacing "Billie Jean". "Hallejujah","Travelin' Thru" and "Imagine" are also seeing a jump in sales. American Idol vs. The iTunes Top 20. "Over the Rainbow" is #10 and "Angels" is #12 today. "Billie Jean" is at #19. Most significant is that Jason Castro has bumped the sales of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's "Over the Rainbow" to #7 on the iTunes Top 20. Just like he did with Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah". Jason Castro is the only Idol this year who has bumped another artist's single to the iTunes Top of 10. "Angels" by Robbie Williams is at #32. Daily Charts - Top 8 Songs: 1. Jason Castro -
"Over The Rainbow"
Daily - All American Idol: 1. Jason Castro - "Over the Rainbow"
Daily - American Idol vs. iTunes Top 20: #7 Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Over the Rainbow

Carly's "The Show Must Go On" is much better than her live. It's a shame she didn't sing it like that on the show. I think she will be leaving tonight. |
