Yes I know, I know. I just don't think it's as weird or awful as people are making it out to be. It's definitely different than the live version
which I prefer, but it's still good.

LOVED David Cook - but I could do without the female back up singers towards the end of the song.
They added NOTHING to it and sounded cheesy. This is my favorite song so far of this whole season. The rest sounded good but Eleanor Rigby is the only one I would buy. Most of the others I would listen to on the radio without changing the station. |

Carly's studio version of "Blackbird" is wonderful. It's not so different from her live version like "Come Together" was last week
and it sounds more natural. It's beautiful. I love it.
Brooke's studio version of "Here Comes the Sun" is good, but when listening to an MP3 you don't have to watch the awkward stage performance so that probably makes it better. I prefer the live version of DCook's "Daytripper" the studio one lacks something. Michael's "A Day in the Life" is very nice. It's much better not chopped up and in full version. I love his voice, it's very soothing, I could listen to it all day. I have a couple of the other ones because I got them in a zip file, I might listen to them, I haven't decided yet if I want to endure "Back in the USSR" or "The Long and Winding Road" in studio version.

I should get to downloading studio versions. I want Archuleta's, Carly's (since I can't see her hideous dress), Kristy Lee's (srzly.) and
Brooke's. I might get David Cook's too if I feel like it.

Carly's sounds beautiful -- no screw ups like last week's studio version.
If you listen without looking, Kristy Lee and Brooke's voices sound quite similar. I think Porkchop sounds good (don't hurt me! --that means you, Seaguy :) I think Michael sounds good too. Hell, even Amanda doesn't sound too bad. |

I don't think it's a matter of Porkchop sounding bad (seaguy ranked him 3rd this week btw) it's just a matter of him not being as good as the hype
surrounding him or the judges pimping him suggests. I don't think any sane person with ears would deny that he can sing, he's just not the second
coming.
