The promos are put together by ABC people, not the show's people. So what they say isn't necessarily accurate.

I agree--despite the fact that Aaron wasn't a ticket-holder on the original flight, if he, Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sun, and Hurley show up on a rescue boat, then those are who the public would call the Oceanic 6 (I assume Ben found another way off the island). I think it's 50-50 as to whether or not Jin is really dead, but the story to the outside world must be that he died in the crash based on the tombstone date. We can't say for certain if he later dies on the island (and Sun is really mourning him) or if he stays behind on the island for some reason (and Sun simply misses him and wonders if he is ok).

Heres some food for thought. At this point, as far as ABC promos go, all of the 06 have been revealed as being shown on land. Jin has never been shown on land, but Ben has. I know Ben was never a ticket holder, and his name wouldnt be on the charter, but what if he somehow convinced someone else on the island to let him go to land in their place and live under their identity. He could be living as John Locke. Their about the same age, and Locke didnt have anyone really close to him back home, so nobody wold really quesion it.

Ben IS NOT an O6'er. Ben moves quite regularly between the island and "Land" as was evidenced by Sayid discovering a drawer full of passports and currency in Ben's house.
