At first glance, you might think of taoism a childlike. You would actually be correct. The thing is, a thinking man can be taoist as well. You see, if you
think about it, it is just as much as it is when you don't think about
it. After you throw the stick in the stream, you watch it go under the bridge. It is lovely that it went under the bridge. The thinking man considers all of
the universal factors that went into journey of the stick in the stream under the bridge. The Taoist is just happy that is is. Once the thinking man realizes that his finite mind can't comprehend the infinite factors that went into the passing of
the stick under the bridge, it just is.

a great starter book.

Discovering that labeling something as philosophy or religion are two unnecessary labels for two unnecessary things, is among the first steps to learning of the Tao. |
