Well if those press pictures don't spell out Jonathan's fate this episode, then I don't know what does.
He isn't in a single one. |

Looks like Ami works through her injury. I believe one early spoiler had her leaving the game early due to an ankle injury. Well it is the left knee, and she is putting up and working through it. Ami may not be shown a great deal, but she still rocks! |

TV Guide blurb:
Jonathan deals with a serious infection that could result in his exit; Jason discovers the fake immunity idol on Exile Island that was created by Ozzy; Ami struggles with whether to remain true to her alliance. Jeff Probst is the host. |

If you think about the title it is pretty obvious that Jonathon leaves. A.K.A It hit everyone pretty hard when jonathan had to leave the game

When Jeff asked if anyone had the idol and there was a brief scene of Amanda looking at Ozzy, I think they showed Ami catching it. Smart, could be why she
flops if she hasn't been told about the idol.
She wouldn't have the numbers either way, would she? Chet and Tracy seem to be with each other, with Ozzy and Amanda being a pair. I would think Cirie is more with the smaller "outcast" faction because they're all physically underwhelming, Ami flips to them and guns for Ozzy/Amanda but pulls a Dolly? Ironic. |

It was Amanda that was supposed to have the ankle injury
...for what that "spoiler" is worth |

I don't think Amanda really looked at Ozzy when Jeff asked whether any1 had the HII. That is all the trick of editing. They usually have done that in all the past episodes. Jeff will usually ask, then they will the show the person who actually has the idol, then they will show people looking around to check whether some1 is using it. I am sure it is a much faster process than this: Jeff asks, waits for 2 secs, and then he moves on. |

Logically, you would think the player with the new position of power would have to be Eric, who would become the swing vote if Ami flips and joins Tracy and Chet. That would also fit with the spoiler of Eric outlasting Ami. Of course, that would mean Eric would have to be injured...... which along with known or rumored injuries for Jonathan, Ami, Parvati, Kathy, Chet and Amanda, would make this by far the most-injured season in Survivor history. From CBS website: |

thanks to Survivorfever for the shots, and from SF's quote of this clip: V.O.: Jonathan has fought hard... fiercely. medic: "the antibiotics are not working. The infection is potentially fatal. no question, given this photo of him crying and that diagnosis, he is gone. You don't mess with sepsis (blood borne infection), there can be a narrow time frame that they can effectively treat him. |

Who do you think goes to exile with Jason and gives him a chance to find the fake idol? From Malakal, I'd think it'd be Ozzy or Amanda since they know
that the idol is gone, and they'd give Jason time to find the fake one, because I'd assume everyone else (except Kathy) would want to look for the
idol.

One tribe gets the answer it has been waiting for-will their tribemate recover from a devastating injury? One Castaway becomes the gullible victim of Ozzy's devious plan set in motion on Exile Island while another Castaway is injured, but surprisingly finds himself with more power than ever before. It's got to be Chet and his rumored coral injury who just quits like the sack of potatoes he is. Hence Tracy's demise... |

I think Chet is picked to go to Exile, and that's where he cuts his foot.

Well they're probably still sending one person from each tribe. Obviously Jason is the person who goes from his tribe, but probably someone from the other tribe also goes. I don't see any particular reason to think that it's Chet though.... unless we have some reason to believe that's more coral there than near the Malakal camp site.I think Chet is picked to go to Exile, and that's where he cuts his foot. It's Jason..hence his finding Ozzy's really believable HII. |

It's got to be someone who would let Jason get away by himself to find the idol. I'm thinking that wouldn't be Erik, or Tracy - they're all
pretty motivated. Maybe he just runs off from Cirie, maybe Ami tries to start where she and Kathy left off. Amanda, I think, would act like she was searching
with him. It would be most fun if it was Ozzy, who would try to make sure Jason found it, while making Jason think he did it all himself, which Ozzy is really
not much of an actor.
I think it's Chet even if he doesn't cut his foot. |

Right...he'd get suspicious if Ozzy or Amanda went and they didn't look for it. So it's possible that someone leads Jason to the 4 clues, leads him
to the hiding spot, then 'gives up', goes back to get food or something, then Jason gets the fake idol.
