I'll predict Cook will sell 1 million albums (more than Jordin) but that's it. He might not even sell that many if the music business continues to
crater.
Cook will have trouble with the male fans Daughtry could get by not having to sing about rainbows or selling Sketchers.

His album is going to suck. He will have practically no control what goes on it and if the magical rainbow song is a sign of what to expect well.... But he has massive tards and payola behind him so it will do good. |

I never thought I would post a legitimate comment here, but I am getting to the point that I can't stand that tour meet 'n greet hat he has on in all
of the pictures. It isn't a great look to begin with, so enough already.
I am also not a fan of men who wear basic Hanes type t-shirts with deep, deep v-necks or that are sized too small. Still love him, but hate some of the wardrobe choices. |

David Cook haters will have a field day with how his CD does. As long as it sells less than Daughtry's (and it will, given the steady drop in overall CD
sales), they will call it a "failure," even it it somehow gets near the 4 million mark. Kelly haters here went wild when Carrie's first CD inched
past Breakaway over a year after it was released, even though both sold 6 million copies and the overall difference between them in American sales is less than
1% (!). Assuming it is neither fantastic nor terrible, Cook's CD will most likely sell 1-2 million copies, about as well as Reuben and Mantasia did.
Incidental comment about the matador photo: even though David Cook is the only one of the top 4 without hispanic ancestry, he was the one who looked most spanish (and most comfortable) in some of the matador video--although not in the silly photo posted here. |
