If you call it pop in NYC I'm pretty sure the entire city will laugh and then someone will stab you.
It's soda. Ever watch a television show or a movie and hear someone ask for a pop? No? That's because it's called soda. |

Soda is American. Pop was British and that's why I figure most Canadians say it. The only place I hear soda is in American film/tv.
