Ooooooooooh, just watched the first ep of Dead Set! Now, if I have to be actually critical, it's trash. No real explanation of where the zombies come from, no real explanation of the relationships between the workers, etc... that being said, it's a gory good time, and Davina does excellently as a zombie.

I have to say that "Grace Kelly" is by far the weirdest, non-apt killing-spree music I think I've ever heard. They might as well have played fucking Benny Hill.

I have to say I disagree, M. Dicky. :p Very solid opener, the acting I thought was very good and perhaps Brooker didn't feel the need to expound at length the relationships between the workers since most of them would be dead 2/3rds into the episode, though for me the basic relationships were laid out fine enough. Patrick getting stuck in the closet with Pippa after he said he was glad she wasn't his neighbour, the handicapped zombie, the song playing in the background as the zombies were massacring the crowd, the house thinking Kelly's intrusion was a Big Brother twist and of course Zombina were laffos too. There was a lot of wit in the script, but maybe some of it was a bit too obvious.

Explanation behind the zombies... either we'll get something, some clues, in the next few episodes, or at least have the explanation saved to the very end. I really can't see all of them dying, so in that case there will have to be some form of closure. In any case it isn't that big a concern for me, like CP. Sorry! :p
