Posts: 336 (09/05/08 9:35 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	kate and brian dowling were both entertaining but i also think they're both kinda shit people. i know we don't tune in to BB for people who aren't shit, but well.....i'm feeling kinda anti-BB at the moment. rachel is a different sort of winner for a trasy piece of shit reality tv show and i think it's great that she won. and that she pissed off the producers so much in doing so.

I was starting to shake when Sara was evicted third but everything came through in the end. Considering that Rex and Darnell were both anti-Mikey and that Sara fans wanted a girl to win, it was definitely enough to put Rachel over the top. I'm certain Mikey was leading going into the night and that it dwindled as the show wore on. Rex kicked the most ass out there. Absolutely being cool with his asshole-ness and not giving a flying fuck. Loved it. Davina trying to make Sara look the victim was the worst moment of the night. You know, until 2/3 of the way in and Davina pretended that Mikey won and that Rachel never existed. Fuck you, Davina. Your BBBM episodes were probably the worst I've ever seen. Mikey really is the Jonny of this season. Like BB3, the two biggest characters (Rex & Darnell) went first with Sara being a close third. Mikey's probably the worst 2nd placer I can think of at the moment. He had a decent first week, that's about it. Glad to see Darnell & Sara keeping the peace and getting over their quarrels. You have made this season of BBUK wonderfully entertaining for me to watch and to read. Many times I wanted to shout, yell or scream at some of you, and other times I wanted to say AWWW, how sweet. I love this board for Big Brother US but have trully found much more happiness with BBUK. Great show, great comments. Thanks to all of you. Awwwwwww. So sweet <3 Despite the fact that I hate the majority of the people here, I do far prefer discussing BBUK to BBUS which is nothing more than a flaming competition anymore.

Rachel did NOTHING this season. Her best "best bit" was Rex saying he'd trade her for Scrabble. Mikey may have been a lot better, but let's face it, not many people would remember him either and his win would always be tainted by the sympathy votes for his disability. It's a shame because this season would have been really great without Mo, Darnell, Kat and Rachel sucking the life out of it. When we look back on this season, we'll remember Bex and Rex before we remember the fake cunt who won.

Ratings wise I mean it was better than 8, not 7...but I really don't know. Actually, it was the lowest rated yet. However, attrition in today's television market is the norm. It's all about minimizing your losses. People will tune in and out while the format's new but they'll eventually tire of it. BB7 onward in the UK will all be downhill, and so forth. This season did do a much better job at holding its audience than last season. Let's not forget that BB7 had a million more viewers before Nikki left and against tougher competition. Davina calling out Luke was disgusting. Dale being the dick he was - probably the worst in the house aside from Alex. Fuck them all! Happy House. Mother-fuckin'-god-damn-right Happy Friggin' House! If she had rekindled her friendship with Darnell but without letting him perv on her, she'd have easily won this thing. 4% in the three-way would've easily sealed the deal and 3% might've been enough. Let's not forget that there was practically no fucking time to vote besides the F2. Imagine if there had been a BB AU pointless interlude after Rex saying he'd like Sara to win? That could've been enough time to corral some votes for her. She only would've needed about 2% at that point to top Mikey.

Nadia was at least the biggest character in the house although she was my least favorite of the four on finale night. Anthony was a douchebag but he was far more entertaining than Craig, Kinga or Eugene. Pete is still in my Top 20 house mates although I also adored Nikki, Richard & Glyn. I just felt that Glyn had the best resume of any potential winner and it was thrown in the trash for the guy with the sob story who quickly evaporated entertainment-wise week by week. First four seasons are all ok by my book. But Brian Belo? That's still the fucking biggest unjustice ever. To have the single person out of two dozen that I hate the most end up winning by using a contrived and ridiculously annoying act really put me off this show for a while. It completely soured Hijack for me, just turning that season on made me want to vomit especially knowing that the boring tard would win (I was away while it aired) and it still left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I sat here all season dreading that Kathreya, Dale or Mikey wouldn't get their shit called on them. The one person that didn't play up an act or get themselves mixed up in inconsistensies (why Sara, why?) won this thing and I'm damn fine with that.

Admittedly not my fave to win (Rex & Sara were head of her) but once they left I thought for sure we were doomed to the worst case scenario: Mikey winning. I was barely watching as the winner was being announced and even mouthed "Mikey" right before the magic word was said. I immediately called my Mikey hating friend and played the clip of Dav announcing the winner onto his Voicemail. Amazing. Very happy partially because it's not Mikey, partially becuase its a long overdue female winner and partially because it's a genuine surprise. Oh and also a winner hated by HMs I hated. Love it. To quote my fave from BBUS this year "Suck it bitches." And the closest winner vote since BB3! Very, very happy with this whole series. -decent winner (better than the borderline retard/pity vote trend they've had lately) -my al-time fave HM making it to the finals and getting a VERY respectable 4th place -no intruders (except replacement Nicole) past what week 4? -no major halfway through twist (didn't need it) -F5 was soooooooooooo much better than the F6 we've had lately. -the winner hated by half the house (that I hated) = amazing. -great tasks Highlites from the finale: Davina on people recording it wand watching it on Saturday "What are you watching this for? Go out!" Darnell lifting Davina up -Rex's HOT jacket he wore when he left. His playing with the crowd and posing up a storm. Amazing. -the "Bad to the Bone" montage!!!!!!!!!!!!! "If I was 40..." Rachel on Lisa's accusation that she fancied Mario. Brilliant. WOW bitter twat Luke saying she got the money. what an asshat. Would he have said that about Dick Face Mikey? No...... Mario. Describing the fireworks to Mikey. Oh it's Week 1-3 all over again. Way to take the poor blind man under your wing sweet Mario. Side note: my friend was STUNNED to learn Mikey had only been blind for the last 10 years or so. "So what's his excuse for being so socially retarded?" LOVE the series Best Bits: - at Mario's Health & Safety clip followed by the electro-shock task. -random Lisa making noises -the cuts between the angel-garbed Heavenly HMs and the HMFH was hilarious and amazing. -"Are you Black Darnell?" I love that this is one of her clips. -the Bunraku task :) -bare-naked Dale & Stu's Bad Luck task <3 -they at least showed Nicole's Thriller bit. Something nice for her. -Mikey getting hit with the baseball <3 -Kat's eviction At least she went out singing "Happy Hou" -Rex & One-Eyed Darnell dancing <3 <3 <3 -Rex's slow-mo exit clip = awesome. One of the best exits ever. and, I'm not being funny, honestly, honestly while it wasn't obviously the most enthusiastic interview ever Davina & Rachel. wasn't. that. bad. I think maybe some might be reading a bit too much into it. Clearly not her fave but nowhere near that bad nor deserving of complaints (what the fact is that about anyway? It's not like it could affect the outcome! Impartiality? GMAB. ) Anywhoo I didn't think she was that bad with Makosi and that was clearly worse than this. Moving on. and YAY to B Block domination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They owned the series and got a winner out of it! I';d put this as my 2nd fave regular season right after S7. That's more for nostalgia and a really close call to this one. Categories for the awards will be up on Sunday!

They didn't bother to hide their contempt for those who dared to not be Mario/Lisa/Luke/Bex/Dale/Jen/Stuart/Mikey, and they paid the price. I honestly don't even know what most of the HMs who hate Rachel so much did that was memorable. All most of them, especially Luke and Dale, did was piss away an opportunity to show a little bit of class. Players like Luke, Mario, and Bex were given so many chances to shine, and they failed. The public soundly rejected them. That obviously eats away at them. I didn't like Mikey, but I'm glad he had enough dignity to be happy for Rachel. I hope you start posting in the US BB areas more, Louie. It hasn't been that bad the past few days, and the Dan thread could always use your input. I still can't believe how Kat and her group absolutely dominated the process right down to winning. It's fantastic. Remember when this season started and we had so much focus on the cool kids who thought the public loved them and hated the "fake" players? Then they were knocked out one by one by one by one.
