He knows who he is and he doesn't give a shit what others think. I love that and I also appreciate Rachel just because she also knows who she is and doesn't let it affect her if others don't like her for it. This was a good season and it's been a blast enjoying it with the rest of you!

Kat going freed up a lot of votes -- in a tight finish, 5% is a lot. Rachel was usually very supportive of Kat, she babysat the woman for months, and I think a lot of Kat fans must have been grateful. Now if only Kat had shown back up onstage and joined Rachel in a rousing rendition of the B-block song and HAPPY HOU HAPPY HOU HAPPY HOU. Even with all their blowups and bitter feelings, B-block pwned everyone this season. The noms process, Whisper Club, AND Davina and the producers

As well as the anti-Mikey vote which is similar to the B-Block vote. People who wanted a B-Block winner and once Rex left their only option was Rachel. Wonder if the OS has finally stopped whining and put her winner's article up yet. I think Davina was absolutely disgusted by the fact that Rachel admitted to sitting on the fence. She saw it as a horribly negative housemate trait. Rachel embraced it, as did the country.

I dunno how they gauge a season's success. Ratings wise I mean it was better than 8, not 7...but I really don't know. They didn't want Rachel to win, obviously. And you may be right. But I hope not. The fact that they thought Brian Belo was a good winner and Rachel wasn't makes me question if it isn't the public's fault, but rather the producer's manipulation that ends up with so many shit endings. Brian Belo was seriously one of the most horrifyingly awful people ever to be on reality tv. It was pure exploitation with him - see the young dumb retard whine about ciduh. It was just cringe worthy for the entire time he was in there. Not that Samanda were smart...lol. But yeah. Hopefully BB10 will follow in BB9's feet as a wonderful season. And maybe we'll see the BBAU7/8 trend and have another female winner! Hehe.

I think they gauge based on getting the winner they want, not what the public wants. They think the winner should be a clown or someone who degrades themselves. I don't think Mikey was as bad as Brian, but that was the closest they had to their model this year. I think they mistake acting a fool for being real or opening yourself up. I think some people get very upset at the idea of a "boring" winner and think this ruins a season. I don't see why. Anthony was only memorable for getting groped by mentally unbalanced housemates. That doesn't mean people hate BB6. I can't say I spent this season waving a Rachel flag, or that she was a fascinating person, but she certainly went through trial by fire in that house, from all sides. She deserved her win.

Posts: 1749 (09/05/08 5:41 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	just looking at the numbers, it seems like darnell got the highest percentage ever for a 5th place housemate, as did rex for 4th and sara for 3rd. and of course the final vote was the closest since season one--maybe closer? we need a bbuk historian stat. maybe ADC? Closest since Season 3. Jade got 20% out of 4. Alex 27% out of 3. Jonny 42% out of two. So basically, all four of them were incredibly close. But Rex still did get more out of 4. And Sara more out 3, and Mikey more of 2. Season 1 isn't exactly applicable as there were only three there. But Darren only had 13% out of the 3 way vote. She while the Craig/Anna vote was closer, it was overall closer between the five BB9 members. If you say 100 people voted. With the way the vote looks to break down... Darnell got ~10. Rex got about 20. Sara about 21. Mikey 24. And Rachel 25

That's the best part is 'they were wrong' about her and the public she's just a sweet girl and her caring for Mikey and Kat all of these weeks was real and not for show.

Even though I loved Aisleyne, in hindsight Glyn so should have won that show. He was the Brian Belo they wanted. But instead, they put the fucking retard on the show the year after and he mops up. So gross. As for Davina, she's getting a lot of heat on DS for her unprofessionalism. She apparently told Rachel she should share the money between the houseguests during Big Mouth. Did she ever do that to any of the others? I mean...I'm a huge Davina fan but it was really obvious that she was put off by Rachel and I just don't get it. So she wasn't the most entertaining. She certainly didn't bring the series down and she wasn't flying under the radar. FFS, she got more nominations than anyone outside of Rex, I believe.
