At the time I wanted to like Richard, because he had his witty moments, but the way he treated Shabaz, Imogen, Ais, and Michael was very upsetting. He was especially nasty to Michael and it was painfully clear he could not tolerate having any other gay men in the house. That type of stuff was the same reason I was never overly fond of Brian Dowling. I don't like the, "only gay in the village" complex. There was some sweet justice in Richard watching his princess Nikki go out fifth and realizing, much too late, that the public didn't hate Aislyene.
Did you read Grace Dent's final column for this season? It amounted to, "Mikey doesn't give the blind a bad name, and Rachel is so sweet. Go them! Rex is rich! Boo rich!" And she seems to have changed her photo to an even more unflattering image.
