Soy milk? It doesn't have that much fat in it so it probably was not as effective as normal whole dairy milk. Capsaicin is the active ingredient that gives the hotness of chilis and is fat soluble, which is why dairy products help wash it away.
maybe it was psychosomatic (or more likely the heaping spoonfuls of greek yogurt rather than soy milk) but it worked. i couldn't believe it. i must have looked like Dale at first, jupming around like a freak, but within 3 minutes it was like i hadn't eaten anything spicy at all. if i hadn't seen that episode i woulda just chugged water, which has never worked in the past. if i ever go back to that restaurant i'm bitching them out. HATE spicy stuff. I really don't know how they got through that challenge without medical intervention.
