After an epic battle between tribes of Fans and Favorites, the tribes are finally mixed up. Will old tribal lines stick, or will former enemies now try to work together? So they actually have a challenge first and then switch them up. That sucks to be on the winning team and then not get the reward? Haha. |

I'm not sure it means there is an epic battle this episode, then a switch. It might just be the premise of the epic battle so far this season.
Not sure. |

Looking at the preview pics this is what I see as the new tribes:
orange buffs: Jason, Kathy, Natalie, Alexis, Eliza, Jonathan, James, Parvati purple buffs: Chet, Joel, Erik, Tracy, Ozzy, Amanda, Cirie, Ami From the challenge board it looks like they switch just before the RC Build it up, Break it down.

Is this an injection, or are they using a syringe to remove some sort of fluid? As in, could it be Jonathan's swollen, pus-filled knee which is the ball of
goo? (And don't be sitting there reading and going all "EWWW"! They could be making us watch that intimate survivor-style consumation that Probst
was so excited about.)

they say posted:
TV Guide blurb:I'm going with Natalie for the shark, after she broke her invisibility last episode to tell us that her strategy was about being useful. |

I think its an injection birdlady. Probably a local anesthetic to numb the area around the wound before they stitch up the hole in his leg. Ironically, the
anesthetic they inject you with burns like hell for about 30 seconds before it takes effect. That's why Jonathan yells.

Agree with the above.
I have done this many times in my career. |

QE, in the tropics, theoretically, let's say Micronesia... it would take until about episode 6 to cause real problems.

No time at all...24 to 48 hours.
But it looks to me like they are stitching him up....if they cleaned it out well, he may be OK, but the chance of infection is VERY HIGH without antibiotics. And I don't think they give them to them, do they? |

I would think they would have to administer antibiotics if the situation warrants, otherwise would SEG not be in for a lawsuit?

"Threatens" to take a contestant out is SEG-speak for it doesn't happen. OR given the seeming gravity of the situation, it doesn't happen
YET! And you know Jonathan...He'll hang in there til the last breathe in his WGAbody(Writer's Guild of America...y'know the ones who were on
strike?) ___________________________________________________________________ I thought the promo screamed "He's not going" to me. A cover-up for
a more obvious boot? From the NuMalakal tribe since they seem to look like the ones who are going to loose a lot of people...I'd say it's Chet...who
also supposedly sustains a foot injury....And he's probably the "Ball of Goo" of the title...
___________________________________________________________________________________ Good thing that Jonathan and Cerie end up on different teams lolol....

Didn't Becky say something about she had a big boil on her neck, which the medics were willing to drain, but they wouldn't give her antibiotics, which
meant there was a good chance it could get infected, so she chose to just go around with this thing sticking out but at least closed up until the show was
done? I guess if you don't like the conditions you can go home...
But yeah, Jonathan is the decoy injury this week. |

I think the "he's a ball of goo" reference is that Ozzy having been switched becames immediately enanmored with whoever that was on the fan side
who had the "hots" for him thus he becomes a ball of goo. LOL

Was it Perverti or Eliza who was seen saying "HE COULD LOSE HIS LEG"

Eliza.

Johnathan is not going anywhere this week. I totally agree. Will he have to go at some point? Well if that injury does become septic, yes he will. Hopefully,
it is all the proverbial "tempest in a teapot". I would love to see him stick around, he is great T.V.

Episode Detail: He's a Ball of God! - Survivor: Micronesia---Fans vs. Favorites Chet? Perhaps this is the episode where he gets taken out of the game with a foot injury. |

Jonathan & the vulnerable, adoring Fans | ||

Yes, Chet looks like a ball of goo, or simply just a Dead Survivor Walking til they get rid of him...Ami is going to start trying to get rid of all the men on
her new tribe. There are Ozzy, who is untouchable, Chet, Joel and Erik...I would think that they may make the stupid mistake of getting rid of the strongest
physical guy, Joel, first and then that weakens them challenge-wise and is why they keep losing nearly everybody before the merge. The fans are soooo going
first on that team. But they'll get rid of Ami before the merge, too. So said TDT in his last gasp:( I'm LOST with out him!
______________________________________________________________________________________________________On the other team Jonathan may take up with his new
teammates Alexis/Natalie/Jason who stick around simply because the NuAirai is the team that with James on board is the one that keeps winning.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________I think the Retreads, er, Faves all know that they've
got to get rid of as many fans as possible before the merge...But that team I think of Jonathan/Eliza/James/Parvati/Alexis/Kathy/Jason and Cattily will be the
one that survives almost intact. That is if Jonathan doesn't go down with his knee injury, Eliza doesn't get sicker, and Kathy doesn't melt-down.
She's seems remarkably self contained at this point. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Maybe she doesn't self-destruct being sent to Exile Island over and over again...And getting more R&R in the process and more screentime than any of
the other Mactors, er, Fans...I'm becoming very attached to her...They really want us to like her...
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ I must say I'm adoring the Faves game play this time
around. It's a great pleasure to see people who know what they're doing PLAY THE GAME.

Orangeena wrote: But Orangeena, Cirie is playing an awful game. She has alienated three other contestants already, and she's responsible for voting out Yau Man. That is so uncharacteristic of her from her previous Survivor: Panama. Either that, or she's getting a bad edit. She's coming across as a bitch. |
