Went and saw it this weekend and it was just ok. Not great, but not bad. I liked the "idea" of them having a stand alone story, but some of the
writing could have been better. It just seemed blah during some parts.

Saw it this weekend. I was stirring in my seat, when asked what was wrong I said "i'm bored". Twas true.
I was a fan of the series, but this was just meh. I was enraged at the end when people in a surgical suite and NO ONE was wearing a fucking mask! She scrubbed in without her mask up. grrrrrrrr |

The box set is one of the neater box sets I've seen. I like playing with the magnetic cover. One more disc on season 5, then it's on to the first
movie. All I remember about that one is some sort of Secret of the Bees and the death of Well-Manicured Man (I wonder if that's what he puts on his
resume..."so you were a background extra then?" "No, I was an integral character." "Named 'Well-Manicured Man?'")

The case is fucking cool - but the discs are not in any type of "season" packaging. They are just all in little plastic sleeves like a giant CD case. >: | |

Overall, it was a very blah episode of the X-files. I imagine Fringe is going to do crazier "bad science" episodes going by that pilot. The story
covered in this movie was kind of tepid.
Anyone else who didn't give a shit about the dying kid? They never even resolved what happened to him so I guess it didn't matter. Just that Scully was torn about the decision to go ahead or not. I wish they could have cut the whole damn thing out and just have Mulder and Scully working together again instead of splitting up for most of it. So when's the next movie? 2012, the supposed time of the coming invasion? I suppose it's good they at least got the Mulder being wanted by the FBI out of the way. But it was such a lame way to do it. "Everything is forgiven..." Just like that?  (Approriate smiley I guess.  )
I don't know why the dead sister had to be dragged out all over again but at least Mulder admits she's dead dead dead.
