I liked Shannon, she had a stepbrother Boone. They were met when they were children. Shannon's dad and Boone's mom met and married. After their own
parents married, they became step-siblings.
In the episode "Do No Harm", Boone was killed when he and Locke found a plane on a jungle. In the episode "Abandoned", Shannon was accidentally shot by Ana-Lucia Cortez when she and Sayid trekked the jungle to find their other friends.

Steve is alive. I think...They were seen together in one scene before one of them was killed, presumably by Ethan (badass other. Ill get to him later). Scott and Steve are a running joke on the show. The humor of the joke is that none of the lostaways can tell Scott and Steve apart, even weeks after one of them died. According to transcripts and overall continuity, Scott is the one who is dead and Steve is alive still alive and well. However... , the actor who has been credited as Scott has continued to appear on Lost as an extra in Season 2, well after his character is presumed deceased. Christian Bowman, who was credited as Steve, played "the body" that was buried in the episode "Homecoming". More examples on losties confusing Scott and Steve (all stolen from Lostpedia): Hurley: Uh-uh, nada. Everyone was asleep. So, I had an idea. I'm out here looking for some psycho with Scott and Steve, right? And I'm realizing who the hell are Scott and Steve? Sawyer: Guess old Steve drew the short straw. Hurley: Dude, that was Scott. Hurley: Scott Jackson worked for an internet company in Santa Cruz. He won a sales prize: two week Australian vacation, all expenses paid. He was a good guy. Sorry I kept calling you Steve, man. Um, amen, I guess. I don't know how to end these. Ana: Uh, the big guy who lives behind Sayid and Scott. Jack: You mean Steve, Scott's dead. Ana: Scott, Steve -- the point is, after what happened people are finally willing to do something. Sawyer: Yep. I, for one, never knew how much Tracy missed her hubby and 2 kids back in Fresno. Yet she's sleeping next to good old Scott to keep her
warm at night.
Scott also participated in the Island Open Golf Tournament.
