Dr. Leslie Arzt appeared on Season 3 episode, Exposé. He met with Niki and Paulo on the day of the crash. A few days later, he saw a spider inside the jar with
the ability of paralyzing people.

Artz was more interesting in the few episodes he was present than Kate or Jack have been for the entire series.

I do love how Sun has managed to kill an Other and bitchslap Juliet, which is more action than Kate has actually seen in all 4 seasons, right? (Unless she killed someone I'm forgetting about.) |

12. Jin-Soo Kwon (portrayed by Daniel Dae Kim)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not Jin! There's still hope though. The date written on his tombstone is the date of the plane crash (Sept 22, 2004) which means Jin could still be alive. Maybe its all part of the cover story of The Oceanic Six. Jin-Soo Kwon was born in Namhae, South Korea to a fisherman and a prostitute ( sweet!) Jin is also probably the most improved character of the show. At least in my eyes. He started out as a condescending jackass. Being rude to Sun. Assaulting Michael. And being just a jerk overall. However in one best developments of season one, Jin and Michael become friends and he even helps him build the second raft. So Jin sets sail with Mike, Sawyer and WAAAAAAALLT in they're search for rescue. Of course, things don't exactly work out that way. And Jin and the co soon face The Others who blow up they're boat, kidnap Walt, and leave them to die in the end of season one. If that wasn't bad enough, season two they return to the Island, only to meet up with a guy who wields a Jesus stick and calls himself Mr. Eko. Season three was the time Jin officially became a great character. He starts to learn English. He goes van cruising with Charlie, Hurley, and Sawyer. He goes "camping" with Desmond, Charlie and Hurley. And then... He Jackie Jin round kicks Mikhail. Utter OWNAGE! Please not be dead Jin. I need more of your Jackie Jin kicks. I cant live without them! |

<3333 Jackie Jin! Also, assaulting Michael can never be a bad thing, esp. when said man is wearing another man's watch.

I like Jin, the Korean doesn't speak English. Other plane crash survivors like Jack, Kate, Sawyer, etc. understand Korean language.

11. James "Sawyer" Ford (portrayed by Josh Holloway)
Sawyer could be higher on this list. Hell, Sawyer could be the number one on this list. He was arguably the best character of season one (and at worst, he was second best right after Locke). He was a con-artist. He was cocky. He didn't take shit from Jack. He made everyone his personal bitches. Season one Sawyer would EASILY rank in the top 5. However...Sawyer is not the same arrogant asshole we loved in season one. He isn't Sawyer, the master con-artist who made everyone to do this bidding. Now he is James. The best friend of Jack who is in love with Kate. And yet, even when hes in love with Kate, hes still quite a badass. Season three he finally got his revenge on Locke's dad, Anthony Cooper. The original Sawyer, who destroyed his family and caused the death of both of his parents (one of my favourite moments of season three). He also got his revenge on Mr. Friendly/Tom who blew up the raft and kidnapped Walt. Both Anthony and Tom are now dead. Lesson here learned. Don't piss of Sawyer (I refuse to call him "James"). |

Yeah, Sawyer could use a return to some of his Season 1 greatness. I mean, I fully support occasional moments like his murder of Anthony Cooper and his fake
heart monitor con. But damn, he's just not as badass anymore. Nobody left on the island is, really. They've all been softened too much.

I like Sawyer. He is a con artist. During the flashback of season 1 finale, Sawyer broke the cup in an airport in Australia, the immigration office told him
and said, "James Ford, you're deported!!! and you will never see Australia again."

Keamy and Omar. Its a shame this list was decided before their appearance. They would have CRUSHED every opposition in their way to the final 2. |

10. Hugo "Hurley" Reyes" (portrayed by Jorge Garcia)
"Im one of the Oceanic Six!" What I like about Hugo is that while is usually the shows comic relief, his centric episodes portray him in a more serious light. That creates and interesting contrast IMO. Season one Hugo was pretty much all about the numbers. You know, The NUMBERS. 4 8 15 16 23 42. Hugo played lottery with them... And he won $114 MILLION dollars! So Hugo won in the lottery. He became rich biatch! And then his life went to shit. After his trip to mental hospital, he crashed on an Island, where he met a man named Charlie Pace. And together with Charlie, they formed an unbeatable duo... until Mikhail killed him. And thus Hugo lost his partner in crime. He also lost his great love a season earlier. Sucks to be Hugo. At some point which I cant recall, he freed himself from "the curse". He also conned the con-master Sawyer and ate a crap-load of Dharma food. These are all reasons why Hugo "Hurley" Reyes is one of the few characters I could never hate no matter what. And his crowning moment as a character... God bless you Hugo.
But whats with stealing Jonathan's clothes?
